On this note, does anyone know where you can get flares in dublin?
I try and do most of my shopping here....

€50 fine for a flare? Bargain!
BTW Bosco -
Any shop like this will have them
Another point to be raised perhaps someone could help me because honestly it's bothering me, How come the fines are much much smaller this year than last? UEFA would have a guideline for fines and this surely hasn't changed so dramatically over less than one year?
Might be a subtle way of letting this sort of thing happen without actually condoning it.
I would magine the stiffer fine for till rolls is because they are actually thrown onto the pitch where as the flares stay in the stand. Thats the only half twisted logic i can see behind that. Plus as said before maybe someone in the fai has a piece of brain in their ceann and realises that the flares do more good than harm!!
150 lids for till roll (which was dispensed when the two teams came out, along with dozens of tifo and smaller flags being waved) is utter madness in my book.
As for the person who wanted flares, the marine shop in Dun Laoghaire usually has plenty. Bring a blank cheque to hand in to your club office though.:(
I remember years ago, when there was no segregation in Drogheda, one game where a father and son, spent the whole second half throwing beermats on the pitch. The area around the touchline was completely covered in beermats and nobody got fined.
What's the non-literal side of it? A goalie picked up a flare and burnt his hands?
And seriously, what's the need for calling me a moron for not finding a player, particularly one who relies on his hands to make a living, getting hurt funny?
As I've said before, I'm all for pyro, but if it's people like you using them then maybe I'll re-evaluate my position.
