There's a twitter thread which is basically a poll among the Molenbeek support judging each player in the season that has just ended. It doesn't look as though they rated Adaramola very highly.
Has been on loan at Stockport for the first half of the season but is going to be recalled by Palace and sent elsewhere as he hasn't been getting his game. Had a couple of injuries, but even when he was fit he wasn't featuring much.
It's not really happening for him in senior football so far.
Potentially heading for League 2 Bradford, dropping another division to see if he can find a level he can get a regular game at. At one point he was more highly rated in the Crystal Palace academy than Jake O'Brien, but their careers have gone in different directions since.
After a decent League 2 loan last season with Bradford he got another chance in League 1 this season with Leyton Orient. Unfortunately he has again come up short at that level and has been returned to Crystal Palace. Bags of pace but zero defensive ability remains the problem.
Despite the above he has (sort of) fallen upwards and has gone on loan to Sheffield Wednesday in the Championship. Admittedly they are last in the table, 34 points behind second last and on a negative points tally. But maybe a good experience for him playing against better players, albeit probably mostly on the losing side.
Yeah, it's a sort of upwards fall, but Wednesday are a basket case and I'm not sure it can do anyone any good to be playing in that team. Seven defeats without a goal on the trot in all competitions. I'm slightly surprised they're signing players because at this stage what's the point in throwing good money after bad? They'll be mathematically relegated by the end of the month. (Possibly a record?)
I think it's just a case of getting bodies in on the cheap to get them through until the end of the season. Adaramola will cost them almost nothing and no other Championship team was going to sign him so it's kind of a win for all parties really (if it's possible to win when you're 34 points adrift at the bottom of the league).
Plays today in the Sheffield derby. Even has an assist for a very rare thing these days, a Wednesday goal
The Flashscore app has him top rated player for them, which probably means nothing.
Wednesday denied a first win since September by a 90th minute Watford equaliser. Adaramola rated 8/10 by the Sheffield Star: "Tenacious - made five tackles out of Wednesday's 10 in the firs half alone. Couple of breaks forward at pace got them moving. Looks really dangerous on the break".
It would obviously be great to see Adaramola make it. But I think there's definitely a risk with him, and possibly also Otegbayo, that Sheffield Wednesday's circumstances have them playing at a level that they probably wouldn't be playing at otherwise and that ratings etc are given in the context of the club's position, where expectations are extremely low. Kind of similar to Luca Connell's situation at Bolton a number of years ago.
