Not seen too much of them (about to change:) ) but I thought Pats played some very good football at Dalymount against bohs, especially the first half. passed the ball very well and usually Dalymount is a good indicator (big pitch, usually good condition). Fingal do knock the ball around well but strike me as a little one paced as a team (again on limited viewing). UCD playing good football (as expected from Russel team) but not getting benifit of it (often due to own naivety). Not sure how you make out shams as good footballing side but each to his/her own I suppose .
I think he means that our good football didn't generate too many decent chances in either game against Bohs.
Yea agree with you RE Sligo - at Dalymount they were the best away side I seen this season (from a footballing perspective). Not knocking shams but I think they are more effective than attractive. On UCD, as P Stu said I din't think they always get the results their play would merit (at home to Bohs one example), sometimes let down by naive actions of young players but always trying to pass the ball. Incidentally Schum, with the open nature of the League this season maybe UCD can aim a bit higher than survival;)
All up for grabs. would expect stronger squads of Bohs and Shams to mean they fill top two spots but anyone keeping clear of injuries could well have a very profitable season. I have been impressed by the number of teams trying to play football this season, a big improvement in my opinion
