promoted them and relegated them. history may repeat except mick spent £4m on players compared to Roy's £80m:eek:

Mick McCarthy had 4m to spend , Keane had 70m i wonder why Mick couldnt keep them up :p
MMC is top of the table on a shoe string budget ye have to hand it to him he is a great Manager unlike mr sulk
Another very good point. He wasted about 30m on duds. will bhe interesting to see what a top manager can do with that squad. If you look at the facts Mick McCarthy did a better job than Keane. He's to get rid of half his squad and had no money to buy replacements. And he didn't have the backing Keane had.
SPOT THE COMEDIAN !!

"Who the **** do you think you are, having meetings about me? Mick, you're a liar... you're a ****ing ******. I didn't rate you as a player, I don't rate you as a manager, and I don't rate you as a person. You're a ****ing ****** and you can stick your World Cup up your arse. The only reason I have any dealings with you is that somehow you are the manager of my country! You can stick it up your ********!!!"
ps. the entire Sunderland thing was a Keane conspiracy to bankrupt Niall Quinn.....I kid you not!! :)
Curbishley will probably be the next manager.
He may have spent alot on not a whole lot, but i think he found it very hard to attract a high calibre of player to Sunderland and I doubt many managers would be able to attract the type of players needed to take Sunderland consistently to the next level.
Support the club that Keane takes the reins at next?
I'd love to see their faces if Keane were ever to land the Rangers job.. :D

Your call.....
No but if a manager has a track record of buying duds (see squad list for evidence but take Chopra and Halford as two sample cases) at extorinate prices and then manages to finally get a player who improves the team it's not an unreasonable assumption to make.
M Mc didnt have a buck to spend, keane wasted millions.
Look at Wolves now on a shoestring budget, again.Keane spent loads and still couldnt build a decent team, bought crap and I mean crap.
Walked in Saipan when going got tough and doing so again. Consistent, dont you think? Or maybe the blindingly obvious does no suit,eh?
