Cut we cut out this toxic idea that you can only have one of two extreme positions on a player? The forum is for discussion, and that attitude is just driving away posters. Gloating that your 'team' is winning the argument today is pathetic, no matter the player and no matter your opinion. A goal doesn't make a striker the next Ronaldo, nor does it refute concerns about their current ability or career trajectory, any more than a rough patch makes someone irredemably rubbish. Every Irish fan wants Parrott and Idah to succeed. Some disagree about their value to the team or squad right now, and that's their perogative. If you want to go somewhere that position isn't allowed, go buy some pom poms.Quote:

Great strike. I really think he could do a job as a 10. I know he obviously wants to be a 9 but for us if he developed into a central attacking midfielder that would be very welcome
Came on in the 82nd minute today V Sparta Rotterdam at 1.1 & hit the winner on 94. Up to fifth.

A subtle slice over the keeper? I saw it in real time speed which looks like a great finish, replay looks less kind to Troy for sure…but they all count. Had the confidence to take first time which has to count for something!

They went into the Vitesse game with him on 2 in 4 and he didn't start that day either.
Unless the issue is that Agrafiotis is their man man (5 goals), plays through middle and they can't fit Troy in elsewhere. Looking at it now, he has come on for Agrafiotis in almost every game so that appears to be the explanation alright.
Three goals in six appearances - all as a sub - making him Excelsior's second top scorer. Agrafiotis has five in nine appearances, all starts.
Also, with Anselmo Garcia MacNulty in PEC Zwolle's side, until he was substituted on 85m, it means that two Republic of Ireland players appeared in the same Eredivisie game for the first time ever!
