Quick question for sum'ville lads.. will you new field be ready for next season ???
Kevin Walsh memorial tournament :
Bruff United 5 - 3 Herbertstown
Cracking game, Bruff were really up for it with some very creative play, probably the best I've seen them play all year, made Herbertstown look ordinary. 1 - 1 at half time (missed the goals), Ed Hogan scored 5 mins into the second half, Herberstown put away a dubious penalty 5 mins later, followed up a minute later by a crafty free-kick catching out the Bruff defence while the ref was counting out the 10 yards, to make it 2-3. Bruff kept up the pressure and won an equally dubious penalty after Pip moloney had jinked past five defenders in the Herbertstown box. Ed Hogan put that one away, '90' bundled another one across the line in a goalmouth scramble, and Ed completed his second half hat trick with a well placed header from the back post. Most of this seasons Bruff team played, with a few new faces getting a run out towards the end. Well done Bruff, brilliant performance :ball:
why is he called '90'?
joe 90,italia 90 or the crack was 90 it could be 1 of them
Have you seen Cyril Maher take a free kick?????
this man scored 15 goals last season and twelve of them were free kicks
Pure genius.... Just to let ye know aswell lads Martin Reddan and Cyril Maher are joint managers next season......
Congratulations to them both:D:D
I think maybe we're talking about different tournaments.
Kevin Walsh memorial tournament was:
Bruff v Herbertstown 5-3 on Wednesday,
Knocklong v Knockainey on thurdsday (0-0, went to penalties and Knockainey won on sudden death) - dire game in all honesty.
Bruff v Knockainey final on Saturday. Bruff 5 - 2 Knockainey, 2 goals for Pip Moloney, 2 for Ed Hogan and 1 for Tony Bourke.
As far as I know theres another tournament going on in Herbertstown, probably the one your in. Bruff played last week but dont know who they beat, Ed Hogan got a hat-trick (he'd actually scored 4 against Herbertstown) making it 9 in 3 games for him :ball:
heard caherdavin are in big trouble. no manager appointed yet and teams have weeks of training ahead of them.
rumours of players leaving(prob all spoof)
shane doran to granville
karl meehan to granville or corbally
stephen collins to wembley
shane fahy to balla b
john gaynor to corbally
arguably there best players gone. they may struggle and may even get relegated.
Good evening gentlemen dont worry we will have a team and mark my words a very strong one at that, dont worry about us not having a team, Corky is back and getting stuck in both on and off the field, it is always hard to quash rumours about players leaving us but what can you do, there is alot of good players in our camp, i think the are just using other clubs to get fit because our managers were away ie paul neville on holidays and corky just back from england, so any one feels that they wont get a beating like the one we dished to summerville 8_2 last year think again. Oh just to wish summerville the best of luck next season
OUR 1 NIL OUTSIDE IN THE GREENHILLS WAS AS VALUABLE AS AS YER 8-2 AT PORTLAND.. THING IS... WE WAITED TIL MAY TO CELEBRATE OUR WIN...CAHERDAVIN NEXT YEAR..
PADDY POWER HAS YE 1/7 FAVOURITES TO BE LEADING THE TABLE BY AUGUST... THEN THE NOVELTY WILL END!!!!DEJA VU?????????
BEST OF LUCK CAHERDAVIN NEXT SEASON
Fahy is signing with Summerville
we don't want him...
Darragh Purtill is signing with Hill Celtic
Well lads I'll tell you he has not signed. Jason O'Connor and Cossy & Ming for Carew park last year have both signed along with Leo Wong from prospect. ;)
Dodo has also signed along with 1 or 2 more strong players that should play every week. I'd say Hill Celtic could go back up this year with these players. Barry Lynch is also back and training for the last few weeks. Maggie (from Caherdavin) was also down training last week but not sure if he has signed or not ?
