went to the nenagh peake game, nenagh all over villa in first 25min and lookin like a rout after they scored early...but villa equalised and all of a sudden nenagh were gone very flat and i felt villa could be onto something here. nenagh got another just before half time and by god twas some goal, started with the keeper, classy passing and 1-2's the whole way up they walked it into the net. like barca in full flow.
second half was complete 1 way nenagh were top class all over. number 8 very good and the striker too has some strike of a ball. all very good to be fair.....
but.....i dont know why but they resorted to diving even though they were 7-2 to up at the time, couldnt understand, all the people around me were calling it embarressing and i had to agree. 2 of em booked for it, what was the point? from there on i wished for a villa man to try and cut one of em in half but truthfully just couldnt get close enough to a classy nenagh team.
villa should be strong next year in youths, think 10 out of the starting 11 are young enough next year.
Season officially over now with the TSDL losing 0 - 1 (aet) to the Inishowen League.
Best of luck to Cahir this weekend. The club are hosting the SFAI finals. Heard Ger Halley on radio this evening. Well done also to Martin Blossom Quinlivan who did a great job covering football this season. Tipp FM soccer coverage was much better this season. Lets hope it continues and that Blossom continues. Looks like he will as Ronan Quirke referred to him as the stations Soccer Correspondent.
Yeah it wasn't a bad season in TSDL this year. Great to see somebody different winning the league in Clonmel Celtic. Pity they didn't add another cup after been in 2 finals but they will learn form their mistakes and this year was a step forward in the right direction. Town had good end to season bu they were not playing against much in later stages of league. Cahir should make the league interesting next year if they add one or two players, be hard to beat away from home. Old Bridge had a very good season also finishing 4th, for a club that nearly folded it was a great season but they could get 2nd season syndrome next year and struggle. Roll on August.

Doesnt look like there'l be a ref's awards night this year are the purse strings been tightened. Anyone know?
Shame really as was always a good night out. My 3 premier nominations would be Kevin waters Celtic, Richie Ryan saints and probably graham Doyle aswell of Celtic , don't think any other prem team had a stand out player bar maybe young Flynn with townQuote:

Yea its a real shame but if they not getting the support from the tsdl can understand them deciding not to run it anymore. Think evan maguire would be in the top 3 no he got injured but he was playing very well up until then. Roll on august an we get back into it.

All the money the TSDL have and they can't even have an awards night for the clubs and players apparently over €200,000 in there bank account. They are a Joke!
Yea tis a joke alright think its down to the refs to organise it tho, was there one last year? Any word on who's taking over Michaels.
The awards were always organised by the referees, but Tommy Lewis upset them so they gave up doing it.Quote:

Michaels apparently on that hunt for a new keeper I hear they have approached a young lad from cahir park Alan Wall I think not sure though.
Also heard Evan Maguire has been approached by Waterford United!
Heard the lad has no intension of leaving Cahir, why would he, promoted to Premier with Cahir and Foxy Grace will get in a few new faces you can be sure and they have a very good youth squad from last season to pull from, Where as Saints have an aging squad, with an average at best youth panel. Limerick used to be Saints old pulling ground for players but with teams in Limerick offering silly money for the best players to sign, Saints will have to look elsewhere.
A Fair point. But St Michaels will always be knocking about near the top with our top class facility's etc it would be hard for any young lad not to be tempted to venture and compete in the later stages of the Munster junior cup and FAI junior cup!
