Could have been worse, you could have said his form was up and down.....

Portadown have alway been known to be great payers. They have several local business who are very generous. Unfortunately they were found out making dodgy payments and paid the price and are now rebuilding. So if he gets the same money or more (in sterling) he's better off financially. He was your player, you had him, you should have did more to keep him. He left after 6 weeks which is better than staying and not giving 100%.
Jonathan Afolabi to Bohs…
A signing that sounds great until attention is paid to his goals record. If he wasn't even standing out in second/third tier Scotland I wouldn't be expecting him to run amuck here from Day 1 either.
Mmmm, Glen Crowe didn’t score too many before he came home either!
And I’d say him and Junior might cause a few headaches!
Mr Doyle had a good record outside our league yet doesn’t seem prolific here either….
To be fair I said at the time that I thought Doyle was on the downswing and that his multi-year contract was a disaster in waiting. Bohs might be fortunate to see Afolabi trending the other way but if he's not doing much in the Scottish third tier in his last loan (2 goals in 12 in a part-time league?) there's no real reason for excitement either.
That's fair actually though he was a little bit better (about a goal in every 4 to Afolabi's 1 in 5). 🙂
Afolabi was generally deemed a lazy striker until he suddenly caught a wind about 19. A few decent underage Ireland performances, a move, and then the hard graft. Hard graft is just that, hard, and Afilabi was never a grafter, so let's wait an see. Last chance saloon, and if I was a Bohs fan, I'd be skeptical. Having said all that, a very similar player to Omochere, both ex Joeys, but Omocjere found a work rate. Let's wait and see.
I find it gas the stick Eoin Doyle gets. His linkup play has probably been his best attribute this season yet he’s still only 1 goal off top scorer in the league. Not sure what that says about all the other strikers in the league if a 'poor' 34 year old Doyle is outperforming the majority of them
I think maybe expectations were very high because of his reputation. I’m still a bit on the fence myself. His general play has been good and as you say he’s got more goals than perhaps people realise. He misses a lot though. Thursday being the latest example.
Thursday in fairness was when you really wanted a cool experienced head up front too
Has the transfer window now closed?

How many points are Shels looking to be gifted for this?
Sounds like they'll have to keep paying him until next season. That's an expensive mistake on someone's part.
That's amateur stuff. Awful for the player too.
Joseph Anang being recalled by West Ham to go on loan to Derby, which is both gutting for us and also a bit hilarious considering there's still Pats fans too prideful to admit that they were wrong about him apparently not being any use
That'll be a big loss. Who's the backup?
The new trend of loan signings from English clubs is interesting, but this is the big drawback of course
Oh that's right. Was kind of surprising he signed as a backup for someone this season, but might be a good call now
Very disappointing to see him leave but no point going ott either. While he played well in the European games his was no Buffon either. I think he was a good shot stopper but very prone to getting stuck to his line. I don’t see what West Ham’s thinking on this is. I’d imagine he is better playing week in week out than warming Derbys bench.
Yeah, as back-ups go Odumosu is probably the best in the league so could definitely be a lot worse. He hasn't gotten a single minute this season though so still a big ask for him to come in and take over the mantle with such a key period of the season coming up.
I don't think it's OTT to suggest he's not been useless, which is all I did. He's gotten heaps of stick over the season for essentially not being Jaros, but on the whole he's been quality and among the least of our problems. According to Derby folk more in the know about them than I am that I've read today he'll be coming in to start for them, which if so seems a bit of a no-brainer for him to go even if it's a blow to us.
Lot of extreme people in world these days that they have to either love or hate someone or something with no middle ground. He was decent keeper with potential. He played very well in the European games in particular. It’s a tough break on us lose him at a crucial part of the season.
Danny Rogers announced pats, ex Aberdeen, Kilmarnock, Oldham etc goalkeeper
Thats a real shame. He was highly regarded when with the Dundalk underage sides, which is a bit of a laugh considering the keeper issues we subsequently had and how he wanted to re-sign for Dundalk at the time. Drogheda fans didnt seem to have any real ongoing issues. Keepers mainly tend to get focued on when they are bad or after a howlers and Odumusu didnt have neon lights highlighting a pending disaster.
New chap did well today. Lots of experience it seems so shouldn't take long to get up to speed
Shame for Odumosu but those are the breaks I guess. Seems a bit of a daft situation caused by whatever advice Anang has gotten, he was cleared to stay until the end of the season so we let Keeley go to Spurs, then the Derby move came up for Anang so threats were made unless he was allowed to leave this week, which then forced us into a corner especially with Odumosu's injury. As short notice signings go Rogers looks a good one though, certainly based on today at least.
