It hasn’t exactly worked out brilliantly for a lot of the clubs that went up senior Kevin, I think they’d do very well at that level considering the majority of their squad has another 4-5 years before even hitting their peak, but they might be wary seeing some of the previous teams that went up just go up to take part and nothing more
Great to see Blackstone winning silverware today, a club that was on its last legs. Looked like a very young squad today, hope they can push on now.
On an unrelated note, who’s this Don Cafferky that was there on behalf of the AUL today? Don’t remember seeing him before?
He gets peppers coffee orders I think
That hibs team is decent, fantastic result for Blackstone
I spent many a meeting in the AULwith Don questioning everything the AUL proposed, so I think Don is a good man to have on any committee
Best of luck to the sides who have reached the finals, any final or win a league.
All you can do is beat what's in front of you.
Congrats to Blackstone , Bevs a ledgend an that club is a great club for the community it serves.
The Aul prem is very similar to the scottish premier.
It's one or the other and occasionally a different rummer up.
The odd cup upset but generally 1 of the normal 2.
Ya it’s the spl coachford will win 13 for every 1 grattan win
I think you will find if you can read Kevins previous post .
Kevin paid light to a certain side of the city side being a bit t(h)ick .
Basic maths.
Grattan United have 6 Premier League titles to date .
Coachford have 4 as of now..
Balls , ya want to go again with the maths.
The battle for second is on Wednesday night we are coming for second gratten wont know what will hit them Wednesday night because we are going to war and we are gonna finish off the season on a high, we have a few aces up our sleeves that night so pop up and witness the demolition we are gonna cause up in gratten park.
I know iv being a bit controversial this year but that’s a big statement Fish this will be a cracker but Grattan seem to have edge all the time for some reason but if ye do win will grattan still be 2nd best team in Aul ??
Gratten won't win mark my words we are gonna put them to d sword, mind your own business you anyway and go back down and support your coachford buddies.
Hahahaha you mad ham
Again bourne you just bring up history constantly, Coachford have been far ahead of grattan the last few years, the batterings they routinely give them are evidence enough of it. Grattan won the league last year FairPlay to them, there’s also the fact the first half of that season Donal wasn’t there with coachford and most of the GAA lads weren’t either, when both teams are full strength they’re a level above, they were on course to absolutely **** both seasons that Covid cut short as well
Grattan are like the dortmund to coachfords Bayern, the best of the rest
Grattan v village wed night could be sparks in this one
Agreed don’t be surprised if both sides are missing players
To most of us it means nothing really 2nd gets you nothing but I’m hearing village would really be happy to finish 2nd after all this stick they took
I don’t think they took any unwarranted stick to be fair, they bigged themselves up, maybe they thought with all the new signings they would seriously challenge, they’re a decent side nothing more nothing less, but they did put a target on their backs from the posts on here and the social media campaign, if finishing second is a sign of improvement then FairPlay if they can find the silver lining in it but people expected more of them, I still think they’re a soft side when it gets physical
Kevin one of those CBL players has Irish caps and goals in the league of Ireland, the other two have numerous appearances at senior level on with cork teams, and all 3 have had very good seasons with the step up, they were good signings for anybody who knew them
They put a target on their own back with the Facebook posts of signings IMO. Just keep things quiet and get on with it. I do agree theyre soft in a battle, that could happen again tonight. They actually signed 5 players from the CBL, yes it's improved Village team but not enough to get you over the line. They are still short a CF maybe a CM and a couple of defenders. As for Jamie we all know his is quality, 33 goals overall and 16 league goals having missed 4 games speaks for itself.
Their good team and well run club if they can break the Grattan curse get win tonight push on for 2nd hopefully they can attract them extra players next season and give it a good rattle
Aaron, Craig who else? Pa and gorta came form glenthorn, the young fella Scott I’m not sure where he came from, Zack from blarney. Who are the last 2?
Apart from Luke Casey who is a step ahead of Aul football no other player really stands out we have few good players in Premier and Premier A who are all not far apart
Zack played CBL last year and the Cow Goalkeeper Murphy they signed. Besides Luke Casey there's no real world beaters in the AUL. Be interesting to see if Luke is heading back to Rockmount with his Coachford pals.
Kick it long united 1 Village 2 well with their win
We came we saw and we conquered up in gratten park, the only team that don't play football which suited us because all we do is play football, I told ye other day we were gonna go in to battle tonight again gratten and win that war,
Don’t forget yer medal for second…
I think I’ll give this thread a skip next season lads, the likes of bourne, harsh ref, Kevin and average Joe have a good banter on it and actually discuss football and debate, the rest are either trolls or just waffle nonsense about their own club, the like of goalachio etc are good football men but don’t really get involved anymore and I can’t blame them
