Any chance we can get back to the transfer rumours here...
Word at Oriel is that Michael Synott is expected to take up loan offer with Shels - excellent player
Speculation about Fabio to Pats continues - seems to be correct!

O’Brien poised for Saints switch
July 14, 2009
Dundalk forward Declan O’Brien is poised to complete a transfer to St Patrick’s Athletic in the coming days.
O’Brien joined the Lilywhites from County Louth rivals Drogheda United before the start of the season but has scored just two league goals in four months at Oriel Park.
The 30-year-old’s proposed moved to Richmond Park would see him become the third big name to be offloaded by Dundalk boss Sean Connor just a few months after their arrival.
Dave Rogers, the former Shelbourne, St Pats and Derry City defender, and ex-League of Ireland Player of the Year George O’Callaghan both arrived at Oriel Park amid much fanfare earlier this year only to be moved on at the earliest opportunity.
If its permanent we get a fee which pats cant afford and if its a loan then cant see them affording him at the end of the season. One thing to poitn out is that hes been playing really well on the wings the past few games so this puzzles me!
I very much doubt if there is a fee involved. Hardly plausible that any LOI club is paying fees for high earning 30 year olds these days!
Agree that he has done really well on the wing in recent weeks; I suspect Sean Connor is looking to make space on the wage bill for more in-comings!
The rumours up here are that Barry Johnston will be leaving Cliftonville to join Shmarock Rovers
Formerly with Ipswich, he made his Dundalk debut in the away win over Derry at the Bradywell, where he was very impressive (vied with Dave Rogers for MOTM). He has played in every match since, coming on as substitute against Bohs for his 12th appearance (last 3 as sub).
Right full back is his natural position, but has look confortable on both sides and to a lessor extent in midfield. Great energy, tenacity and commitment; combines determination with no little skill.
The fact that he has been on the bench for the last 3 games is significant, as is the fact that Sean Connor publicly criticised him, to the amazement of many, after the home defeat to Sligo.
Cheers for the info gents
Fabio signing confirmed by Pats. Should be available for Europe
Liam McMenaman, Anthony Costigan, Ross Moran and Rory Kavanagh were in the squad tonight amongst others. Costigan's with Pat's right? Any info on the others?
Michael Synott has went on loan to ye from us for the rest of the season. 22yr old RB but can play either side. Ex Ipswich.
Pity he went he's a great player.
(You probably already know this but you didn't specify if ye do or not :p)
I taught Ross Moran signed for Monaghan during pre-season
Nope him and Stefen McKevitt both where on the bench for them against us in the pre season friendly but neither signed, Stefen signed with Bellurgan til June and now hes with Monaghan and Ross was prancing around Dundalk like he owns it for the past 4 months!
Yeah Ross was with us and training with us but he never signed.
I see on skysports.com transfer clockwatch section that ETIENNE BARBARA is on trial with Sheffield Wednesday!! This guy was suposed to be signing for Dundalk at the start of the season!!! Was wondering where he had gotten to.
loi clubs should send people to nigeria looking for players and kidnap them and then sell them for millions afterwards, worked for lynn oslo so why not here?
Darren McKenna on his way back to Longford from Mons. Also a young defender Jordan McMillan from Shels is signing.

anyone know anything about jordan mcmillan??
Jordan McMillan; on amateur terms at Shels. Centre half. Has come on in a couple of league games and in the cups. Strong, tall, quick and young. Seemed solid when he played.
People on our forum saying thatCity have sold Colin Healy and Denis Behan.
For the 100k?
wow what an awfully dull transfer for them
yeah, i'd rather stay in ireland(probably not possible) or move to vietnam or something, what division would the team they are joining be in?
League One (level 3), I think.
