The league would be much more interesting if some clubs other than Regional can take points off pike. Theres alot of people going on about not being out of the league , so it would be nice if somebody did something about it! Pike will win the league end of story because the other 'top' teams just havent the guts to stand up to pike and thats a simple fact. Outside of Regional not one club has taken a single point off Pike. If Regional had a bigger squad things may have been different but as for the rest ( View Boro Balla ) forget the league ye have no chance.
Very well said . Teams seem to respect pike too much . I think the league is well and truly over .
League is over
Thats a rubbish statement. Regional have played pike twice. The view, boro and balla have yet to play pike again, with the boro and fairview having home games.fair play to pike at the moment however they are still winning games when they've been missing alot of players lately.
Boro went 1 up mid way threw the first half with a header from thomas clarke..Peter ryan finished well inside the box with about 5 mins to the half..Wembely came out strong in the second half and scored within a few mins of the restart..they put us under a bit of pressure for about 10 mins and we came back into it after that and shane clarke scored with about 5 mins to go which finished the game:ball:
No widow im just stating the facts , not enough teams are pushing pike hard enough when they play them. Think Pike won 12 league games in a row , doesnt reflect well on the league as a whole. Standard has dropped from 2-3 yrs ago. Then there was 5 -6 teams taking pts off eachother at the top of the table. At the moment you cant see Pike dropping pts nevermind being beaten.
Regionals squad isnt big enough to maintain a league challenge something they will have to rectify.Going in the right direction though. Best of Luck to all the Regional lads on Sunday would be nice to see ye in the final.

hope i'm wrong about AA V Boro but AA have being a bit of a bogey team for the Boro in the last few seasons
Indeed they have I think the last time we beat them was in the Lawson Cup Final a couple of years back. Here's hoping this bad run ends sunday I say we'll win 2-1
prove me wrong my friend
AA 1-2 Janesboro
in a game that was played in perfect conditions on a fine pitch Boro took the points against a well drilled, organised AA.Boro started better playing some nice football and knocking the ball around well and were 1 up after 10 minutes,Monty lost his marker on the wing and his drilled ball into the box was poked home by Darren Naughton.AA came into the game after this and only for 4 great saves from Darren Glasheen(including a brilliant double save)the game could have swung the other way HT 0-1
Boro doubled their lead early in the second half when the ball fell kindly to Monty in the box and he made no mistake, blasting the ball into the top corner. He could of wrapped the game up soon after when he beat the offside trap but was denied by the on rushing keeper.AA pulled one back with minutes to spare when a ball into the box was not dealt with and the centre forward(who looked dangerous all game,Joe something)side footed home
a good win for Boro which sees them up in to 4th in the league and leap frog AA
best this morning were Darren Glasheen,Dom Fitz and Peter Ryan who i thought worked his socks in midfield all morning
Not much good beating pike if you cant beat teams below ye,talking bout pike they just managed to win 1nil at home is the pressure getting to them what was the team anyone know, good win for dromore celtic it puts alot of pressure on the teams around them, come on the boro thurs we love you.
we will be playing the B and youth players thursday, saving the A team for the Lawson:rolleyes:
Dromore 2-1 Carew Park.

Pikes goal handpassed into the net, having said that they were denied a stonewall peno and fully deserved their win.
We have a good record against wembley,i know we have to keep winning but we would rather play wembley than the boro, thats why i think clark and co could get something out of thurs game pike arent the same under pressure everyone thinks they have it won but they have a tough run in and not the most popular team in limerick.
