I'd say he would be better off taking The Winning Team as they have a better team and have more money!
i'll take over any team, though i would prefer it to be a young team,i focus more on bringing in 17 - 21 year old players that are not so good and training them into superstars!
ive sent an application, its been about 2 years since i've played X11 so ive had to set up a new account, has much changed?
You applied for new team Boo Boy which means ya can't join til season finishes. I've sacked Wexford's manager if ya apply to take over existing team I'll approve straight away.
cheers,ive applied..waiting for approval now.
3-1 win in my first game,i hav'nt lost it:D
average form has gone from 9 to 13,and all the arrows on the players are green
wait until next season im gunna whoop all ya'll:D:p
The Winning Team 1-5 Medium to Large Club
Badger Gravy 1-0 Lost in Portugal
Patsys Fags 0-0 Workington AFC:eek:
Wexford Youths FC 3-1 Lee FC
Sligo Rovers F.C. 1-1 Wexford Boys:mad:
Go on the Pants!!! Careful you don't run out of steam :D
Jaysus ye have to be happy with that!!! I have to be honest though, I just can't see Alberts losing another game for the rest of the season.
As for running out of steam, I have to say that for the most part form is holding steady. I'm hoping Geladaris will be available for selection again here soon, his form is increasing bit by bit....our goal difference badly misses his freekicks.
We're making winning look like 36 hour labour at the minute.
Looking through the stats, our players have stayed little too long on the vino this season:
Di Napoli has been our best player with most X11s - a defender.
We have only three players in the top 20 x11s this season. Boyle has misfired spectacularly with 1 goal and 3 assists. Valentia has misfired, but his form has been low. Cobh the same as Boyle, Davidsson the same. Maynooth started well but has faded badly. Piquet and Breen saved us today beating UCD who hadn't lost since we beat them and we hadn't won since either
All our big players are going missing more than Lampard.
What a win for Pants...maybe Institute will be Champions afterall?:D
Didn't think I would score 2 goals tonight playing defensively (first time ever ;)) but was certain I'd only concede about one seeing as my whole defence had form over 18!!!! Was undone by two men...
Things really hotting up in div1 only 6 points separating patsy fags in third and me (MLC) in 6th going to be a real dog-fight for the last promotion spot. get in there
It would almost be worth losing the league if DP would end up as managing Institute:p
Almost.
Two rock hards in the next two - UCD and Lofty's. Tree Huggers at home (no-brainer), and Looprevil should be manageable. My biggest fear for a pratfall are the Starlets - especially so late in the season. Can't see Pants losing many points, if any, at this stage, aside from to Lofty's. If we stay level on points, our goal diff should sort things.
If....
It's becoming a difficult task trying to get a squad of 20 to 100% experience, especially with no cups. Anybody who has 100% in my squad is getting dropped.
Sligo Starlets - Landenstown Forest 0 - 4 (0 - 1)
Burton Albion FC - Looprevil FC 4 - 0 (3 - 0)
Loftys Lazy 11 - Provisional SRFC 1 - 5 (1 - 1)
UCD AFC - Flynny Alberts 1 - 3 (0 - 2)
Pants AFC - Cobh Ramblers F.C 5 - 0 (4 - 0)
Goals galore today lads. Put a defender into midfield and a midfielder up front - worked out fairly well I have to say. Van der Weijden now has 7 goals in 8 games, haven't had a striker with that strike rate since the early days when Carstairs was doing the business. Was hoping UCD could hold Flynnys to a draw today - they'll probably do us over now on Tuesday instead. :o
Simply outclassed today. All the outfield had ratings higher than 7, that would have beaten almost anyone two seasons ago. Just shows that the league is getting stronger and stronger.
Expensive win against an experimental lofty's 11. Gabrilovic gets his chance in the side and quickly picks up three bookings in four games:D
Overall some great performances with hints of form again. With two wins against the sides below us, we're caught in no man's land with not much to play for. So with Di Napoli suspended, should get O'Leary and Harte's games and experience in with the bottom sides next.
Oh and focus on beating Forest at the Canalside - that can be our new objective!:D
I'd concentrate more on another objective dfx-:D
Delighted with the 4-0 shock away victory over the starlets. Its the last result I would have even considered. Our away form has improved a small bit this season priorities are just to stay up this season increase the shill and one or two good signings for next season.
I'm very pleased with the result at the UCD Bowl, especially with Kilorglin and Lundh injured and losing Stjärndahl in the second half too. Didn't expect Cobh to halt Pants, but fingers crossed for a UCD backlash. I must look out for the Lofty's backlash myself too...
...we were well beaten today by a far better UCD side - totally and utterly "out tactic-ked" Our normally reliable defence went missing, as did our forwards. First win in 13 attempts Dman, I'd a feeling it would be today.
Cobh Ramblers F.C - Sligo Starlets 0 - 2 (0 - 1)
Flynny Alberts - Loftys Lazy 11 6 - 0 (0 - 0)
Provisional SRFC - Burton Albion FC 1 - 2 (0 - 2)
Landenstown Forest - Looprevil FC 4 - 1 (1 - 1)
UCD AFC - Pants AFC 4 - 2 (1 - 2)
No chance of catching Blubeard now, Landenstown hittin top form now too, so they'll probably be good enough to take points off us aswell. Mytarget now is 5 points from the last 12 to secure a highest ever finish for the club.
Good news for you Lofty, that defeat today has ripped the arse out of my players form....can't even train half of them cause they were just trained last week.
Dreading this match with ye now
My defence and GK's has been awful lately as results can testify. Their form levels have dipped well below the rest of the team. It'll be interesting, as I don't know what type of performance my lot will put out.
Lost in Portugal 4-0 The Winning Team
Wexford Boys 2-1 Workington AFC
Sligo Rovers F.C. 4-0 Medium to Large Club
Badger Gravy 2-2 Wexford Youths FC
Patsys Fags 1-1 Lee FC

Good results in the First Division tonight. With 4 games left it's leaving the fight for the final two promotion spots wide open with just goal difference seperating 3rd, 4th and 5th place. While Wexford Boys are in 2nd, just 3 points ahead...it's going to be tight but I'm ready to fight;).
Don't be so sure, DP - a slip and it's all back on again. I also have to play a rampant Landenstown who are winning AWAY FROM HOME:eek: - I must PM sligoman to see if that isn't against the rules, like it seems to have been for the last few seasons. Sligo are also baying for our blood from last time too, and I fancy their chances. And the Burts seem to be back in action too - I can't see any of these games being too easy - no Sligo Rovers this year...
I have faith in you Lofty:)
First division is turning into some fight. And my forwards have all suddenly hit wretched form, just when I need them playing well. Plus I have to keep playing them to get them to 100% experience. Potential disaster. Although maybe not getting promoted this year might be a blessing in disguise. Those top division teams are seriously strong.
Lose next week and I'm relegated if theres only 18 games.
First Division is looming once again
The first division promotional bunfight is really engaging. Lost in Portugal seem to be certain of walking it - 10 clear from 4th with 12 to play for, but between 2nd and 5th a mere three points:eek: and if the MLC beat the Fags, they will be majorly in with a shout for promotion too - only five points behind third. It looks to be a tight old promotion battle this year.
Think so lucanhoop.
