Your right there razor. Billy Cronin wont be a happy camper i reckon:D Loyalty in Cork football is long gone, especially with Northside teams alot of players swap clubs like theres no tomorrow. Cant understand it really. Mark O Sullivan who plays with ....... well since the transfer window is open again he,s probably with St. Marys but he was Grattan last week, he,s been swappin between both countless times in the last 18 months.
Jamie Nolan is gone to Blarney aswell..........
Washout again this weekend for most teams...
Heard Keane has signed with blarney as he is living in the area and is buddies with a few of the blarney players, Blarney looking good there squad is packed of quality players lets see if they can gel together as a team and push for the league as the intermediate cup is out now!!!
Youghal V Passage is off tomorrow due to a bereavement in the youghal club!
Bandon V Casement off
ya i think players swap clubs to easy there should make it like the gaa,if that were the case teams like avondale and rockmount would probably be 2nd division clubs.alot of the smaller clubs would be good teams if they didn't lose there better players to the likes of dale and mount
Avondale beat Corinthians 2-1 in a friendly the other night.
Blarney V Rockmount moved from tonight to sunday morning to give the pitch a chance.
Avondale 2 Mayfield 2. Dale leading 2 nil at half time through nolesy and spratty
ST.Marys 2-0 Ringmahon
Passage 2-2 Leeds:ball:
Any sign of keane in the blarney camp??
good game avondale deserved to be 2 up at halftime mayfield were the better team in the 2nd half and 2 great goals from barry triggs and conan byrnes, could have won it steph hurley put a header inches wide and dermy ryan had a header cleared off the line,we could also have lost it when dale hit the bar and down on the line all in all a draw was a fair result
Anybody any info on Ballinhassig objection against Garryduff
I heard from one of the Ballinhassig players that Garryduff had two players named on the card who Ballinhassig knew weren't playing and 5 minutes after the game Ballinhassig rang one of players and he was home in bed and hadn't played with Garryduff for 3 months. That would seem clear cut but Ballinhassig have been told they may not have enough evidence. MSL are a toothless bunch, watch this space, Garryduff will get off on a technicality.
Just as i was leaving Blarney tonight after training Blarney were to play Kinsale in a friendly - Pat Keane was togged out - i'd be interested to know the score tomorrow
They better get more punishment than that. Who knows who else they fielded illegal players against. Lets be honest, if any team knew that the only punishment that they would get would be 3 points then im sure a lot more teams will take the risk in fielding illegal players.
All their points should be taken off them!
Sorry lads could someone tell me whereabouts in cork city is castleview's pitch? Playing there on sunday and don't know where we are going. Thanks
Avondale V rockmount is on st. stephens day down in avondale park.. looking forward to that one
Blarney 6 - 1 Kinsale.Moore hatrick ,J.Meade ,R O Leary and weldon I think. Was looking on, they rested a few and a couple are injured as well.Keane did well, everything was nice and simple.Good outfit.
Kinsale were very poor though as well so Blarney will have learned nothing from it.
hey lads..can anyone tell me what castle view are like??? or wat divison they are in or where they are in the league?? what colour jerseys do they wear?? are they good?? we are playing them in the munster senior cup on sunday....thanx
Check out www.munsterseniorleague.ie to see their current position. they got relegated from premier last year after a play off. they wear black and white stripes. they won't be bad, currently managed by ex cork city player Patsy Freyne. tough place to go so expect a nasty game.
Your right, my apologies.
This i their website http://www.castleviewafc.com/
Thanks lads. Got lucky against Rockmount so we aren't expecting too much against Castleview. Probably will give us a good hiding. Mayfield did last year
Cobh Wanderer's beat Passage 4-0 in Cobh on Saturday (result not up on MSL website, nor is the table up-to-date!).
Things gettin tight near the top of First Division - Tramore, Corinthians & Cobh all going for league.
Wouldnt right off Castleview or Midleton either.
Big game St. Stephens morning - Wanderer's vs Corinthians in Cobh.
Any predictions?
MSL web fairly on the ball recently, cobh or passage probably did'nt ring result in.
Tight at the top there allright, hard to call it.
Lads,
Something thats always bothered me. Where do Avondale play their home matches??
Avondale play on one of the back roads in Carrigaline close to Fernhill Golf Club. When you get off the ferry head towards Carrigaline. When you come onto the main Ringaskiddy road turn right and then take your next left about 500m before the big roundabout. This will bring you past the Golf Club. Avondales pitch is a further 500m down the road on your right. Its surrounded by trees so take your time as you'll drive straight past it. They have a farmers gate as an entrance. Nice pitch & clubhouse.
