Andrews is just about the last Irish player of recent years I'd have a go at. Keeps himself in excellent shape and always gave 100%.
And never gets ideas above his station unlike his former midfield partner G. Whelan.

What did whelan do re:getting notions above his station?
Very average player Andrews is, but its not his fault for being picked. We hadn't an awful lot of alternatives around that time once reid wasnt playable.
So I found myself in the City Ground on Saturday for the game v Ipswich.
Andy got MOTM. Totally deserved. Class apart.
Andy MOTM again for Forest against QPR today, he got the second goal in a 2-0 victory,
rather controversial as the linesman flagged for offside causing QPR defence to stop playing
however Andy carried on and coolly slotted it past the keeper (who tried to save it).
The ref had not blown his whistle so the goal stood and rightly so.
The line man thought the a Forest player got a touch on the ball which would make
Andy offside but the ref ruled, correctly it seems, that he never touched it, meaning
Andy was onside from the initial ball as he bagged his 7th goal of the season.
Some Indian summer Andy is having. Deserves to play a huge part in the next campaign.

Goal here. Should it have stood? You be the judge.
There is absolutely no reason why it wouldn't stand.
Nice finish. Oh Andy.
Ross McCormack tweet after Forest defeat:
"Fair play to Forrest they were superb! Best I've played against this year. Reid and Lansbury too good at this level. We will come again 100%"
His namesake of the Kansas City Chiefs is in Henry mode right now. What a horrible loss. Up 3 TD at the half and an int to boot to start the second half. Maybe the Andy Reids are somehow linked. Both do not miss many meals, for example. Disaster for Kansas City.
Does anybody on here speak Crosby?
It makes a little more sense if you know that, but what do you have to know to make sense out of "Henry mode"?

18 min: Andy Reid shouldn't really be playing at this level, should he. What a player he might have been if he'd taken better care of himself.
Nice goal there.
Best player on the pitch.
But how bad are West Ham. A disgrace really.
"The captain was on good form and organised his team brilliantly, while also doing his fair share of defending and getting Forest on the move through the channels. Rounded off the game getting Forest’s fifth with a clinical finish 10 yards out."

Reid has signed a new two-and-a-half year contract at Forest.
Thought he would have been an excellent signing, even in January, for a lot of Premier League teams with his obvious talents, form, experience in the Premiership and his status as an International footballer and club captain but he probably isn't exotic enough.
In any event, he may have stayed. Either way it's irrelevant now.

Goal against West Ham.
Whether The F.A cup is their priority or not - they still fielded Maiga, Morrison , Downing , jarvis all experienced first team premiership players - to be stuffed like they were at forest is what harry says...an absolute disgrace.
Sam surely wont be in the job for much longer.
Maybe, to be honest I don't know much about the West Ham line up and the relative strengths
of the players, however compared to relegation the FA is rather insignificant, if I were the manager
my only advice to the player would be to not get injured.
As to whether Sam goes I have no idea, their next league match is a 6 pointer v relegation rivals Cardiff,
if he loses that he will surely go but they may want to dump him before that to give the team a boost,
but it's a big decision to make, if they dump him and lose the match anyway they will look screwed.
Just seen his goal on Sky Sports. Another cracker. His 9th of the season.
Will post a GIF if I can find one.

Lovely strike, outside of the left foot I think.
They will probably remove the video fairly soon though.
Two assists for Andy as Nott'm Forest come from behind to beat Watford 4-2.
Simon Cox came off the bench to net his 6th and 7th goals of the season.
An "inspirational - man of the match" - with a radar light foot - according to Radio 5!
Forest came back from 2-0 down, Reid had two lovely assists.
What score was it and did Andy Reid play well?
I must have really p*ssed people off with my comments about Keane when people aren't even reading my comments.
I think Charlie suspects you're David Kelly. He'd be tarred and feathered around here if some of us had our way.
The Indo's David Kelly thinks Trap had a direct line to God for luck, castigated our cowardly acceptance of playing in Mainz, and thinks Robbie Keane is a chav who can't hold a torch to Drico. Only a 3-0 thumping of Spain in Madrid will do. Anything less and there's just no point in fielding a team, unlike our rugby heroes who invented penicillin and the internet.
Duffer's retirement must have been like a dagger through Kelly's heart. For years, we had a clean-living, middle-class borderline genius from Ballyboden for him to fawn over. Now who has he got left from the suburbs, Stephen Kelly?
Stephen Kelly is a lovely guy. My brother told me that he used to come to Maynooth to visit his student girlfriend and you wouldn't think he was a Premier League footballer from the way he carried himself. A lot of GAA players could learn a lesson in humility from him.

Some extremely lofty praise for Andy Reid.
"If Andy Reid had been coached by Carlo Ancelotti, he'd have been Andrea Pirlo". Guardian journalist, Richard Williams
Kelly has always come across like a gentleman. Which is why the spat with Trapattoni was so unsavoury - I wanted to believe he wasn't just throwing his toys out of the pram, but I just had the suspicion he had overstepped his mark.
edit: I should clarify, him coming across like a gentleman has nothing to do with him being well-spoken and middle-class. I am still in the minority who believe Robbie Keane is a very articulate sportsman and he'll do well in punditry if he chooses to go that way after he retires.
"If Andrea Pirlo had been coached by Steve Staunton, he'd have been Andy Reid". :p
(not having a go at Staunton or Andy, it just seems to work better than other options, was gonna use Trapattoni at first, but I suspected there might be a problem
with that and indeed there is it seems).
I'm sure a few more joke can be squeezed out of that tweet.
