happy days for avenue fc! unlucky boss man so close ye were, but ye crumbled when it got tough! delighted to have won it! its great to know jim madden will be turnin in his bed for the nxt week as we all know he hates to see us win anything! any chance of a write up in the paper jim or will the headlines go to the st.pats youths for winning the cup! if it was the bridge or newmarket it would get front page! but dont worry we still champs and deservedly so unbeaten all year inthe fair green! no sightings of the cup i didnt see anythin after 9 oclock! come on the avenue! :D

The Champion is nothing to do with Jim Madden, very simply you are able to send in a match report for the match and they will print it, it's not like you have very far to walk to the Offices to hand this in. Congrats on winning the league but having a Pop at the Chairman of our league is not on, if it was not for Jim I would hate to see the state of the League, Doora and the Clubs. Maybe you feel aggrieved because the Truth hurts when he made valid points about some Ennis clubs not having any facilities of their own, Most successful club in Clare history and nothing to show for it off the pitch. You have funds coming into the club but cannot get enough people who give a s..t to do something about it, no doubt you are one of these!!!!

Welldone to Avenue A they won it and nobody can say anything against them because the table shows the truth about a season, i know a few of the Avenue lads and its good to see them winning it ahead of the boss and all his crap but where did the rats beat ye was it the fairgreen or Doora!!!

Have you never heard of having a little dignity, yes you won the League and that speaks volumes, your comments only show that you are a first class prat, it is just as important to be gracious in Victory as defeat, if not then you are a plonker!!

I take it Avenue won then if number is spouting off like that. Congrats to Avenue on winning it. League tables do not lie....

How are preparations going for the Olympic lads ahead of the Kilkishen game? It does not matter to Kilkishen now so thats a good point. Ye need to come out of that poor run yere in and win yeah? Have ye any fitness worries?

How are Kilkishen approaching the game Oldspice? Am I right to say it does not matter to ye but I suppose ye have to give it yere all to be fair to the Harps.

Who will be in the playoff from the premier. Olympic and Rineanna would be a good derby game to decide who plays premier next year.

i just like the way ye all hate the avenue! i know jim has done an awful lot for clare soccer and without him there would be nothin to do on sundays but at same time he could give us a little more credit! but anyways thats another day im braggin to annoy the fool of a boss after all his gloating im sorry that us winning the premier has obviously upset a few people but dont take it out on me! great season 5 teams involved til the end! jus went our way!

Hey number you are starting to sound like the boss,congrats to Avenue but don't go overboard,i would nearly say it was the worst Avenue team to win the league,ask mannix if he wrote down the other teams for his 9 medals this would be the worst.

well if it was the worst team to win it, it must be a sad state for clare soccer that its gone to the point where there is bad teams winnin it! sure ye can have all the stars ye want and win nothin! its a team game! now i must try stop goin on bout us but its people like you tryin to take it away from us that makes it all the more sweeter winning

Olympic have been in spain doing some warm weather training to get ready for Tomorrow's clash with Kilkishen, as for injuries i think they are clearing up now, i ran for the first time in 2 weeks last night and dont seem to be hurting today so im happy, it will be a strange one tomorrow but Olympic just have to win nothing else will do and we are only thinking about tomorrows game and who knows after that

I don't remember anyone on this site (other than the boss, who just about everyone now realises is nothing but a sad joke) slagging off Avenue, or at least not until you came on with the triumphalist jibing today. If, as you say, you are only trying to get at the boss, why not send him a private message. The rest of us a pi**ed off enough with his crap for the last week or two without you joining in. Avenue were obviously deserving winners of the league, the table is rarely wrong, and many have congratulated you on this thread. Why not be gracious, accept the plaudits and get on with it.

whacker rochford and maxwell not bad but the rest of them definitely not up to it. Where were those two bunratty lads when we stuffed them twice in the league? At least you didnt have any Newtown lads in your first 11 so you must know something!!

Won't be easy to get ourselves going for that one Syl. Doesn't really matter to us as we can't go up or down. However, although we will be missing our hurlers (the Mills play Wolfetones tomorrow evening also, but in case anyone from Corofin thinks there's any fix, we did make genuine efforts to have the game changed to either this evening or Thursday) we won't be rolling over either. We have 6 points left to play for and that's exactly what we'll be doing. Whichever of the three (Olympic, Corofin or Rock) end up playing in the play-off I just hope they give a good account of what has been a very competitive division.

dont get me wrong 9 times out of 10 Olympic would be glad to help teams out and move games to better times or dates but alot of our lads did not want it to be played tomorrow due to work etc and rearranged alot so that they would be able to play and to go and tell them to switch it back would have been difficult,i think the game should have been played Sunday like normal when both teams still had alot to play for but that is an issue the Clare league will have to address,

They are 2 lads who are very much looking forward to playing Lifford next season after some of your comments. They also have a good collection of medals between them over the years but this season have the very same as the Lifford lads...NOTHING. ;) ;) ;)
