I hear Schlingerman from Athlone could be off to Mons.
But if the contracts aren't substantial (which they're not if the figures I've heard are true), then LTID is right.
As for the comparisons with Fingal, I'd be fairly certain that EVERY Fingal player was earning more than Gamble and Behan are. The first division has a few players that are on good money (Andy Boyle for example was offered more at Shels than he was at Pats), and most promotion chasing teams seem to have 1/2 of the higher profile (read paid) players surrounded by locals/journeymen
Limerick no different from Cork, Shels, Monaghan or even Logford
Dodge there actually seems to know what he's talking about lads.
Take the blinkers off and have a read of what he is saying and what Pat O'Sullivan has been saying.
Otherwise in your desperation to turn good into bad you might end up doing stupid, just stupid, things like comparing Limerick FC to Sporting Fingal. :ball:

Players in bold are also A team players. Add into that the list of injuries and the squad isn't that big.
Don't know if this was posted already but I read in the sun newspaper the other day that Graham Gartland has been told he can leave St.Johnstone and the two Rovers are now the favorites to get him.
There's two possibilities really. Either you're looking at a Fingal/Shels/Bohs/Drogheda/Cork/Cork situation, or you're looking at a Pat's type situation where Kelleher gave Pat's loads of money, developed things but when he left (or stopped pumping in money; is he still involved?), they were able to revert quite easily back to what they had been before. If the latter is what Sullivan is doing at Limerick, then there's no problem really.
Anyways, back on topic, is Karl Moore just off to England on trials, or is there anyone in particular in for him? What happened to the Motherwell lead? He had a great game on Friday; must have had someone in the crowd watching!
They said on MNS last night he was heavily linked with Motherwell. Not sure how up to date their sources are though.
First off I forgot Garbhan Broughall so that's 28. :)

I wonder will Limerick be next up for a stringent financial investigation that the Shams fans seem to get inside knowledge of?
Also Shams fans, any word on when that report into our finances is going to be published?
Its taking longer than a tribunal.
Sun newspaper today reporting the Limerick failed in a bid to land Roy O'Donovan while they claim Scully is still hoping to land Dan Murray also former Rovers man Padraig Amond looks set to leave Pacos either on loan to a 2nd division side in Portugal or he will be sold back to a LOI side but I cant see any Irish side paying out a transfer fee *everyone looks at Limerick*
Limericks next target.

Sean maher galway to Limerick
I heard It's done also the star newspaper are
SAying it as well.
Is he ANy good?
LMFM reporting that Shane Guthrie has left Dundalk.
Guthrie has been very poor for us since he came in. But the general opinion I gathered on here is that most Pats fans rate him as a defender.
Yeap, tiny. With Hector gone and by the looks of things Guthrie leaving our first team panel consists of 17. We have been badly hit with injuries. The long-term injuries to Eoghan Osborne and Stephen McDonnell have further depleted our squad. Stephen Maher has been on the bench recently but Foster seems reluctant to use him with the nature of his injury (osteitis pubis) and possibly due the fact he is struggling with fitness after been out so long. Add to that Jason Byrne and Hawkins been out for long periods and a couple more playing with injury our squad size has been a major hindrance to us this year.
Reserve team players Chris Duffy and Phillip Duffy have been called onto the bench for most of the matches this year but are very rarely used (ie. if we're cruising Foster might give them a run out).
The board stated that they won't be increasing funds to add to the squad, but this was before Hector and presumably Guthrie left. Hopefully we can get in a defender or two.
Sun newpaper reporting today that Alan Mannus will leave Rovers in just 2 weeks time (after the Flora game) to join SPL side St.Johnstone, the article also claimed Rovers were lining up Richard Brush or Peter Cherrie as a replacement
Todays other transfer news from the same paper claims Derry have rejected a bid from Blackpool for James McLean and former Shels gaffa Dermot Keely said in his usual column that he has recommended McLean to Millwall but he expects a bigger club to land him
