Are Bohs still holding out for Carroll though, yeah? I imagine going with this jerk (Conroy) is probably the best thing at this stage

no, no chance with Carroll.
im not sure at this moment in time.
Are Bohs board members stocking up on booze in anticipation of signing a new contract??
Fair play to Bohs if they can pull this out of the fire. It's very scant of detail yet though.
Is it not Harristown ?
No its clowntown. This is pure Walter Mitty stuff from Bohs board. In order for the shopping center developer to end up with the deeds of Dalymount Park after Bohs hand them over to a company in recievership would require a remarkable sequence of events to occure. The time scale cannot be estimated as further court proceedings are inevitable.Even if all that went Bohs way the site would have to be found ,rezoned ,planning applied for and objections sorted .This would leave Bohs drawing down developer money to buy the best pay mad wages untill their new ground is built.Buisness as usual for Bohs.
Just pointing out how implausable your new plan B is SkStu,Bohs will be at Dalymount for the next 3 or 4 years spending money you dont have and relegating clubs like Bray and UCD who play by the rules. To say that" we are only doing what works for us"only makes sense if you know what you are doing .So why dont dont you flesh out the details and tell me how this stadium will be built anytime soon?you can start by outlining one single aspect of the process that Bohs can controll. If handing over your stadium to a company in recievership is your starting point how can you pretend to have any controll over your future?Lets not turn this into the usual Rovers Bohs crap ,we are talking about your proposed new stadium.
you seem to know it all anyway so rather than get into a rubbish argument with you over the minutiae of a deal that is still very vague to non-members (me), ill let this one play itself out. The one thing i learnt from when the Carroll deal was announced was not to get into the business of gloating as it has a habit of coming back to bite you in the ass very quickly.
then there is that 3 million euro overdraft with zurich bank bohs have to worry about too...
Can we keep this on ground developments? There's plenty of "Bohs' directors are stupid" threads.
sorry i got lost there...
ahem, im negative about all stadium builds. its never going to happen. but if it does happen ill pick faults in it and post them here. must be an irish thing.
Anyone have any idea when our project is due for completion, having said that, it goes through the whole planning fiasco.
Would be a massive boost imo, grounds a kip atm.
Limerick make formal offer for Markets Field
Limerick FC has announced that the club has lodged a formal offer for the city’s spiritual soccer home at the Markets Field.
Market’s Field is currently in the ownership of the Irish Greyhound Board, but the city’s greyhound focus will move to a purpose-built €18m facility in 2010.
And Limerick FC hope to complete a return to Markets Field in 2010 after quarter of a century away from the venue.
Speaking at a mayoral reception in Limerick City Hall last Friday, Limerick FC club chairman Pat O’Sullivan stressed that the stadium would be for the people of Limerick, open to all sports and codes, to all community groups and for the benefit of all Limerick people.
He added that the club would be unable to see the Market’s Field project to completion alone and he appealed to other bodies to help make it a reality.
O’Sullivan said: “I don’t want any of this for myself, that’s not what I’m about. I won’t be around forever and I want to help Limerick FC to a place where all the people, especially the young people from the so-called disadvantaged areas, can realise their potential through sport and education.”
Limerick FC is also taking over the running of the impressive Sean Choill training complex in Corbally, with O’Sullivan offering use of the facility to local clubs who may not have a place to train.
In further moves designed to strengthen the club’s links with the football community in the city, Limerick FC has made an open offer to the Limerick Schoolboy Council to avail of the facilities at Corbally, while the club has also sponsored playing kits and equipment for local clubs Star Rovers, Carew Park, Moyross United, Hyde Rangers and Hill Celtic.

This is a really good move. I think it should be a major part of all clubs' development strategies to develop strong links with the local football community. Far better to spend money on making young footballers like your club than a scattergun approach of ads in prominent places (although they have their place as well)
What happened to the old one?
Oh well i think this topic is important so if you don't mind i'd like to keep it going.
Any word on the Carlisle developments, my fellow Bray custodians?
im going to send a picture of my rented home around at Christmas next year too...
I smell a hint of jealousy in the air.
It's just like sending a photo of your council flat as a Christmas card :)
Smells like…...Victory.

I wish we had a rented ground like that!
There are plenty of threads about Tallaght from who owns it to the colour of the seats so can we keep this one on topic.
Whats happening with the Showgrounds? When are they likely to apply for planning for the new stand? What other works have been happening there? I hope they have finally managed to put some concrete down behind the new stand. Long overdue.
Have they started work again on the New Finn Park? Every time there is any sort of press release from the club they always say that they will have news about the work on the stadium but have not heard anything. Could we get an up-date?
How is the development at Oriel coming on?
Whats the latest with the Carlisle Grounds? Last I heard they were looking to get an anchor tenant in there. Hope that development comes off, looks achievable for the club.
Have Derry City Council set a date for the upgrade works on the Brandywell and what exactly are they going to do there?
Anything else inthe pipeline with other clubs?
New stand going into the showgrounds i think, jinks avenue.
New finn park is being constructed as we speak
The carlisle redevelopment is only in the early stages of planning, should b happening though.
This is almost built, well from the outside, its bigger than the main stand in terms of height and lenght, runs almost 3/4 side of the pitch, think it will be fitted out with indoor pitches, futsal, bars and a gym. Must see if i can get an updated photo somewhere. Nothing else done to the ground, away section still a disgrace. They should actually close this permanently and do a deal for eur 15 for all games for the stand/front terrace of stand for away fans.
Then we could get the b-b-q style bar back in action, plastic glasses and pints on the terraces, the only good memory of the FD days !
For what it's worth
Planning permission for new stand at United Park
Officialy its dilapidated, unofficially its just got character.
