Astro is the way to go but where are clubs gonna find they kinda money there bearly keeping there heads above water as it is

The Fai can barely cope with their own financal obligation's and don't get us started on the Aul and their financally affairs. True their are some grants available to clubs but the amount of red tape one has to go through to obtain said grants it would be easier for a single minimum wage lad to get a mortgage .
Summer football is the only answer, as for holidays, sure fellas are always going away for weekends or holidays in current season. Clubs are being over protective of their pitches these days compared to years ago and rightly so, so it's not going to get any better. And it's not like we have super summers that pitches are very hard(some are) in fact with the grass growth in the summer pitches should be even better once they are looked after properly.
In premier if they made the Mossie a straight knock out competition it would help an awful lot, instead of your first 4-5 games being group games as soon as you're out you could get 3-4 league games played by September, another 3-4 before Xmas is half your league games played by Xmas which is perfect... Summer football is a very drastic decision and won't work in my opinion
How many Aul Club's have Astro ? - can only think of 1 aul club that has astro pitch .
Hall & Carrigaline have astro's but I get your point. The club has to grow before astro, so it's about stronger clubs. Stronger clubs should include a senior side so it comes back to Cork having one league with pathway from bottom to top - with conditional promotion at various levels.
On the AUL team commitment, some guys will unfortunately always have commitments outside football and that's life but I believe some guys could if they really wanted to. Thats the same extra sacrifice needed to jump from top junior player to top senior player. I can't and won't judge other guys lives, just what I think.
I think I would vote for summer soccer. I was involved in a summer season a few times in the last few years and its much better. As Radio said, holidays are an issue all year round. The pitches are not the rock hard dustbuckets we may imagine........last summer was freaky warm! Even on the dry winter days, wind plays a factor too much!
Better Quality football, everyone in better form, kids everywhere, crowds at matches. A season could be 20 weeks instead of 34/36 week now.
I think the Mossie at the start of the season is a huge advantage - 3 defeats or even 2 in Week 1 of a season and your league season could be over after 7 days.
As a member of the one of the 4 clubs in the Faira, I can comment first hand. As I mentioned above its the stronger clubs that have astro, no one team club has an astro. When the majority of the astros were built, Ireland was a different place - the average player had a highly paid job, sponsorship was free flowing. Now, a high percentage of mid 20s are unfortunately unemployed - no business has money to throw around and players cannot support pubs so pubs cannot support teams - catch 22. Grants of the size needed are not given to one team clubs.
Can we really keep going - hoping we have good winters or are we just having a really bad one?
Lets be honest here people are on about astro turf pitches should club's not get showers before they even think of astro turf I think its a disgrace in the day and age some premier and premier a clubs dont have showers provided for players after a game aul should look into this more than anything
Macroom v Carrig. Off. Pitches bad out there ?

Just to confirm Springfield v Glen Celtic is off this morning. Rain over night nail in the coffin.
Some clubs are very small and don't have underage setup & also are in places where gaa is the major sport in a parish. Fundraising for ourselves is null & void because we just don't get the support. If we all had money, facilities would be first preferences to improve on.

Quick question lads.
B team player gets sent off in an appearence for his clubs A team. Is he then suspended for next A team game or B team game?
2 weeks ago,B team player player played with A's. Was sent.the next week only a's played.
This week b's played n said player played with them.
My question is does his suspension stick with team hes playing for or with the A team?
The player must serve the suspension with his own team even if that means missing games with A team in the interim
He served his ban last week with the A team Greengrass
