Two hopes of Scully ever working under Dolan, Bob Hope and no hope

Dundalk have just announced 6 signings.
Aaron Shanahan
Ian Ryan
Paul Shiels
Robbie Farrell
David Cassidy
David O'Connor
Cassidy and Ryan should shine in Divison 1. Surprised Casso didn't find a premier division club. He's a very handy right winger. Himself and Myler were the only ones who raised a few eyebrows from the eleven released by Scully.
Ryan is a solid centre half who can also do a job as a holding midfielder. Dave O'Connor is a left winger and he's Div 1 standard, as is centre mid Shiels. If Gill can motivate these players like Scully could then you've a chance of coming up. Then again, they won't be playing in front of the hugely demanding Rovers fans so there's every chance their standards will drop. Expect Jamie Duffy to be joining his mates soon I'd say.
They'll be under their fair share of pressure again this year, thats for sure. We have to win this division, Gill knows that this is probably his last chance after last seasons disaster. Ask Keith Dunne about not being motivated, he might have gotten round Gill but it will not be tolerated by us, the fans.
Looking forward to seeing Cassidy play.

He looks pleased to have signed!!
Must have been in The Lilywhite beforehand!
god robbie farrell has changed in the six or seven seasons since he played for us!
He looks like Christy Dignam in that picture!
His nickname is "Dermo". Him, Barry Burke & David Lee used to call each other "Dermo" all the time.
To fill in the gaps on that profile, Farrell's nickname was always "Farreller", which I never understood; what's the point in actually appending letters to a name, surely that defeats the purpose of a nickname. Last I heard he was a postman, but that was a few years ago. He actually survived Roddy's purges and played his last game for DC under Dermot Keely (as a centre-half against Bohs, and got red-carded.) And he's had that gay indie hairstyle for about two years at this stage...
Alan Mathews has left the club
Sammon signing for Derry at this very moment!
David Lee :D:D
Stephen Cooling has signed a new contract with Kildare County http://www.kildarecountyfc.com/news/...asp?NewsID=954Stephen

Galway United are delighted to announce the following signings for the 2008 season.
Former Irish U21 International Mark Leech (22) has signed from Drogheda United after a successful loan spell with Shelbourne during the 2007 season. The striker, who scored the winning goal for Drogheda United in the 2006 Setanta Cup final, was Shelbourne's top scorer last season with 12 goals. He has also had spells at Bohemians, UCD and is the son of one of the greatest ever strikers in the League of Ireland, Mick Leech.
Barbados International Goalkeeper Alvin Rouse has signed from Monaghan United as manager Tony Cousins strengths his side in the build up to the new season. Alvin (25) who helped Sligo Rovers gain promotion to the Premier Division in 2005, played 27 times last season for Monaghan United.
Scottish Left-Back Marc McCulloch signs from Shelbourne where he made a total of 19 appearances last season. An experienced defender Marc (27) has previously played with St. Johnstone and Abroath before taking the trip across the water and is sure to strengthen United's defence for the coming season.
