Two mistakes in the Premier Division table.
The Irish Examiner appear to think a race track Lingfield has entered the Setanta Cup
Irish Times had Alan Murphy scoring twice fro St Pats last weekend
Fair play to them they just dont want this thread to die.

Well done Derry

'after being fed by a Robbie Keane header' and 'who were playing each other in Prague later today'
Do they have 7 year olds writing this stuff?
Nothing wrong with the second point - we're not in America here!
Various spelling mistakes in our goalscorers name last night, Fahrudin Kuduzovic. The main football page said Kubozovic and then when you went to the match report they had it spelt differently again.
Ah yes - missed that! I assumed you were referring to the American tendency to refer to teams as singular. Good spot.
They had Stephen Ireland down as the goalscorer on Saturday! :D
He can't have been playing sure. He's from Cork. ;) :D
Would seem that our result v Ports will be struck out and us punished, for fielding inelligable players, according to this report on the eircom site...
:(Quote:
Denis Behan, John Flynn, Colin Healy, Gareth Farrelly all got on the scoresheeet but the free-for-all at Shamrock Park was spear-headed by Roy O'Donovan's hat-trick.
:D
Headline in today's Herald AM - 'Crowe rescues point for Bohs' - oviously their reporter went to the bar early to beat the queues  :D
Errortel gave Dungannon a 1-0 win over Portadown when the game ended 1-1 on Monday night
Well according to Sports Tonight last night the running banner had the score "Shamrock Rovers 2(Crowe 82,McGuiness 88) Shamrock Rvrs 1(Purcell)."
The UK edition of the Irish Times had, again, a massive victory for Limerick,
Apparently they beat Cobh Ramblers by 37 goals to 3 in the League Cup away from home
Although at least they didn't omit the eircom League page from the UK edition again (twice out of the last four Mondays) - why do ye think I buy the paper??? Not for English soccer when I can get that in any English paper at less than half the price of the Irish Times!!
Apparently Bohs are managed by Sean Collins and Rovers are without the injured "Brian Cast*" for tonight's game.
*Should be Cash.
Must be some sort of charity game for Shell to Sea campaigners. :DQuote:
Team News: Man United v Shell United
Aertel page 220
God to see they have corrected the table & brought Athlone down where they belong!
Eleven a side are getting in on the act now. I know our strikers are all scoring at the moment but I must have missed the transfer of Glen Crowe to the Drogs

Looks like Pete Mahon is managing two different clubs

Apparently UCD's nickname is now the gypsies as well
http://rte.ie/sport/2007/0420/derrycity.html
RTE probably have mistaken them for gypsies after one of their fans decided to go topless in front of our fans a few weeks ago:D.
EDIT: RTE Sport site has pic of Sean Connor with "Sean Connor's Bohemians face Shamrock Rovers at Dalymount Park tonight" underneath it. A few weeks too late I think;).

well done rovers they strolled past drogs seemingly

Not an errortel one but Gerry O'Sullivan on Newstalk had an errortel day yesterday during the Eurcom League Hour (good show btw)
"We interrupt you for the first goal of the day in the premiership. we go live to the JJB (Wigan weren't even at home btw) stadium where Bolton are playing Reading". Reporter "and it's Fulham 1 Blackburn 0 here".
Saw that - somebody in RTE is just got to be taking the p!ss. that was just too far off the mark to be a mistake. Looks like they're trying to outdo each other and get themselves mentioned on this forum....
will try to suss it out next time the RTE boys are in the Showgrounds...
There is a Rovers fan working in Aertel actually!
Anyways, they had our game against Cobh down for Friday nite despite the fact we always play Cobh on a Sunday afternoon. So they changed it to Sunday but had 8pm kick off still. Oh well they fixed it now. Great to see Athlone play at Lissywoolen tho isnt it! :P
Looks like Conh hammered Dundalk at home last night

Not aertel, but the sun indo. They had cork v pats listed for this thurs. Is this a re-match played behind closed doors for the slagging the pats keeper took last thurs ?
