I have a number of friends from Sierra Leone and the Ivory Coast and they hate Nigerians. they are the most hated Nationality in Africa because of the Criminality of a huge proportion of the population.people need to wake up a huge proportion of Nigerians are here because they see Ireland as an opportunity to carry on their Criminal ways with reletive impunity.mock me all you want that is the sad truth of the situation no matter how you bury your heads in the sand and dress it up.Quote:

However, to extreme liberals this does have racist overtones because you are implying that only Irish people should be hired, which is contrary to the belief that all people should be treated equally regardless of race.
Claims that asylum seekers are given plush houses, socialising money and hundreds of euro a week (and free mobiles, free cars etc.) also aren't racist as such, but they do stoke up racism.
The vast, vast majority of asylum seekers who come to Ireland would love to work but the fact is that they are not allowed to. By law, they have to live on social benefits until their case is heard (which has been known to take over five years, even if the process has been sped up recently). The Chinese are different because they come over on student visas so they can work, and fair play to them for doing so.
Besides, even conservative estimates state that we need 60,000 more immigrants in this country in order to keep the economy growing at its present levels. Immigration is healthy, for both economic and cultural reasons. All a "nation" is is a group of people who have lived together for so long that they have managed to convince themselves they are somehow different from everyone else - today's immigrant is just the grandfather of a future 100% Irishman. Besides, what is Irish? I had a conversation with a friend a few days ago and using the surnames of our friends we could trace their roots back to France, England, Scotland, Germany and Italy. Admittedly, we're all southside Dubs and maybe most people on foot.ie wouldn't consider us to be Irish anyway. (That last bit was a joke, by the way).
My final point has only two words and I believe it sums up all that is good about immigration: Polish women.
Argue with that.
I'm not going to say much more on this subject as it is beginning to get out of hand but i was recently renting a 3 bed house in a newly built estate in Longford.I was paying €150 per week which isn't to bad but i still had to budget my money to afford it.The person that owned the house had another house next door to was a 4 bed and €200 p.w. She decided to lease it to the social welfare and "non nationals" became tenants. As the family was a family of Asylum seekers they couldn't work. Before to long there were 2 cars outside the house & a Sky Digital dish and these people were unemployed.I was unemployed for a month and i couldn't afford a push bike let alone 2 cars.To cut a long story short they made my life hell and the landlady had to evict them.Whatever money the social welfare were giving to go towards rent this family were keeping it for themselves. They took everything out of the house and wrecked the place and i could tell you 20 more stories like this. Now i don't know about the rest of you but i for one find this unacceptable behaviour for anybody to carry out but when the state is trying to help you should be fcuking grateful. The fact is that the state is sponsoring these people in some of the finest accommodation available and i have seen it with my own 2 eyes and heard about it with my own 2 ears.Quote:

I understand this and feel that the law should be different!Quote:

I agree fairplay to them for doing so and in my experiance no one works harder. However I also know from experiance that what some of them do is enroll in college with no intention of attending in order to get visa's and also some stay long after their visa has expired this should not happen but if they have been here and worked for whatever 6 months or a year in steady employment their visa should be extendedQuote:

Of course, the possibility that they are using money already in their possession would not occur to you. Many asylum seekers from Nigeria are from the Nigerian middle classes, which perhaps goes someway to explaining this myth that they are getting "hundreds a week".Quote:

You haven't even produced any figures to back up your wild allegations.
Iam bound by confidentiallity and could lose my job if I were to put figures on here but beleive me you'd be surprised just how much the basic is. it's more than the dole anywayQuote:

some of thems cant speak english to good.(cause we lead the way as a nation in our linguistic dexterity.)
some of thems come here for the easy money. hello ever heard of compo culture. did we not invent that? and were all them tax amnesties we had to have for the benefit of tax dodging irish or tax dodging foreigners...???
some of thems are engaged in criminal activityah shucks they must be puttin our ordinary decent Irish criminals outta work!
anyone ever been in any of the Irish areas of New York or sydney? hardly model citizens adopting the customs of their new homeland. and block g it isnt p.c. bull**** to mention the fact that irish people emmigrated to other countries as a reason why we should be more accomadating to people emigrating here. maybe if you had grown up in a country with **** all oppurtunies and mass unemployment you might appreciate that fact a little more.
Would anyone like to bring this thread out of the loop, or should I just lock it?
If you choose to continue, desist from the "idiots" and suchlike, or I'll ban you from the forum.
adam
No, we didn't. It's imported, like most of the rest of our culture.Quote:
