There's a lot of work to do. The proposed Mountain South training complex near Athenry has been rejected, and now a dozen players have left. Not great to say the least. Entire squad rebuilds are nothing new in the LOI of course, but there's been a semblance of stability amongst most clubs of retaining a core of players for 2+ years these days, ourselves included these last 2-3 seasons, so it's disappointing that we find ourselves back to square one. Moses Dyer and was a big scouting hit, so you never know. But there's no getting away from how hard it is to knit a ragtag bunch of lads together from all over the place to combine into a gelled unit.
Well we ae definitely going to be relegated so league title 15 incoming...out Shels Shels PC.
MUHAMMADU FAAL leaves Waterford FC by mutual consent.
Wasiri Williams who was on loan at Dundalk for the first half of 2023 has signed for Galway, having last played in the Latvian league this year. Galway are his 16th (sixteenth!) club in 7 years
Must be substance to the Gary O'Neill rumours, if Sylvester Hennessy is reporting of interest in today's Kerry's Eye.
Dan McDonnell reporting that Enda Stevens has passed a medical with rovers this week and will be signing for the 2026 season
Can imagine Stevens slotting in quite well at Rovers, though it's not exactly the injection of fresh legs into their backline that some have been calling for.
Vincent Borden's move to Kerry confirmed:

Was Borden getting much game time with Galway last season? Galway fans?
Seems to have played regularly until July, going by FAI Connect, but fell out of favour between then and season's end.
Jack Byrne going back to Tallaght, according to Bradley.
In other words, they couldn't get anyone else to pay similar mad wages and take him off their hands.
Such a waste of a talent.
Funnily enough, he was wanted by derry but flatly turned down the offer.
He has a talent for sure, but a few rocks in his head ( who doesn't eh!), so we'll see what comes of it. Bradley demonstrated last season that he won't put up with his nonsense if he decides to act up, and he has a year left on his contract.
If Mandriou wasn't out long term I wonder if he would have been welcomed back so warmly.
Yeah id say its a case of a bit of both, no one prepared to pay all his wages and the club not seeing much point in having to partially pay him to play for someone else when Mandroiu is out.
Either way ill be glad to see him back and hopefully he will play well considering he only has one year left and needs a new contract from someone at the end of the season.
I hope he takes the high road rather than turning into one of these guys jumping around crap clubs for a payday

He's under contract so has to return in January. Whether he'll stay is another matter but Danny M's injury has probably changed things. Would much prefer to spend that money elsewhere but as always will trust Bradley to make the correct decisions.
Galway United are delighted to announce that John Caulfield has signed a new two-year contract as manager of our Senior Men’s team!
Kris Twardek back in the league at Galway and Rob Slevin confirmed at Derry City .
Im not sure anyone is celebrating it. The best managers change with the times. JC still thinks its August 1990. We dont have 6'6" Hickey this year for flickons and holdup play so expect a season of aerial bombardment via uselessly lumped balls to nobody in particular. But at least it's beginning to look like we might actually be able to field a team with 11 bodies by the start of the season.

Curious why Keith Gillespie was there? He's in one of the photos but isn't mentioned anywhere in the article. Does he own an agency or something?
Dan McDonnell reporting that Bohs Rovers and Shels looking at Mulraney with suggestion that Pats will let him go. I'd be wary of signing him, loads of ability, but disappeared too often in games, and looked like he wasn't
fit last time we played Pats in Dalymount.
Max Mata in at Pats. Exciting signing on paper ,hopefully he can do well for us.
Yeah, granted Pats have gradually beaten the optimism out of me but can't say I'm too moved by signing Mata. He's taking Melia's place in the team but definitely isn't an improvement on him, and from what I've seen I don’t think he's a better player than Keena either (if he can stay fit anyway). On the flip side he's a bit of a target man, gets a few headers etc and for a lot of last season we played a style of football with a lot of ineffective crosses, so he may be a remedy to that.
The news today of Mulraney potentially being moved on was the more encouraging for me.
Lee Devitt has announced on his Instagram that he's leaving Treaty.
Keith Buckley signed for Dundalk,if he can stay fit should be an important signing for them….
Kerry confirm this morning that Ronan Teahan has joined Dundalk.
Rumour is that John Temple has offered money to a charitable good cause, Kerry FCs solidarity payment....
