We?ve done it in the past with Callaghan and Long coming from so called smaller clubs and doing ok, so not surprised we might go with that approach again.Quote:

Wouldnt be surprised if Trevor Croly will stay on as he was coach for us in 07 season when Ian Ryan was on loan for us from Shamrock Rovers. I think its a gamble but its well worth the risk imo.

Ryan is even less experienced than Morris so it's a bit of a gamble I guess.
Think they dodged a bullet with Dunne and Perth anyway, assuming they were even in the running in the 1st place.

There's a frustration in our support since our failure to get europe last year- Ian Ryan will have to get it right sharpish.
The couple of times I saw Wexford he seemed to have them playing well but that's not really that difficult with no real pressure on them in the First Division. Neale Fenn had us playing some nice football in the First and he didn't last long in Cork. The pressure will be of a whole other level.Quote:

Isn't it amazing how unpopular Perth is given his CV. An awful lot of players don't have great things to say about his dressing room management, apparently Brian Gartland's book pretty much says as much, must give it a read. Doesn't look great for the people making the decisions but most of the fanbase didn't want either Reynolds or Ryan going by social media anyway so we'll see who's next.

I think someone else the club preferred has come back to the table or else someone new has come into the picture. Ryan, Reynolds, Perth and Dunne were names hardly filling me with joy or enthusiasm. The RodFather II here we come. With the sequel being an even bigger hit than the first installment.
I have a feeling that Bohs think the job is a lot more attractive than it actually is.
Apart from the derby game with Rovers, there is little between then and Shels at the moment in stature, and on and off the field they are far behind Pats in Dublin and Derry nationally, and even further behind Rovers. Dundalk might be in Europe next year, and will be a year further into O'Donnells reign agter statting from nearly scratch this year.
Add to it that there is a huge dearth of inexperienced LOI managers, I can see why they feel they are unable to find a new manager.
I?d say they?ll be looking outside Ireland now. There doesn?t seem to be high enough level candidates available or interested.

Far too many maybes, possibly, I think and I have a feeling posts about this. You have to remember the season is almost over and Bohs will finish midish table. So there is no need to make a hasty decision.
Bohs were presumably stalling until Steve Bruce was available.
