I like the 78-83 kit but it's hard to beat the 92/93, peak nostalgia era. So 92/93 gets the vote.

Gotta be 92-93.
I like a lot of O'Neill's efforts but there's no contest here
On a sidenote, these retro jersey debates are the most enjoyable thing about being an ROI fan these days
92/93
78 / 83
The other one wouldn't get half the love but for the era it featured in. Its about the kit supposedly, not the games the kits were worn in ?
This is the toughest choice for me to date. Ill go with the 78-83 as it is a classic look. You'd wear it today with a pair of jeans but the 92/93, youd wear with your boxers eating cereal on the couch on a Saturday morning.
92-93, and it isn't close. Classic kit.
78-83. I dont know if its just the picture you chose but it looks really sharp
Well, that's an indelible image burned on my retina today. Memo to self: if SkStu ever invites me round to Saskatchewan on a Saturday morning, don't overdress. Bring cereal.;)
My vote goes the same way as it happens - 78-83 for me.
(BTW, had to view page source again to see this image.)
A twitter image again - so that's the issue. I might put up the link with it in future. Or the easier way to fix it would be to vote it out :p
Two more to mull over while the retro battle runs its course.. The first a never-worn away kit from 1998-00, and the second the most recent away kit, here seen in an annoying set-up where the home team wore their away kit to avoid a clash of colours.

98 / 00
Bit different, and would hide spilled beers, blim holes etc a lot better in ongoing use.
Same - 98/00
98/00
Loved that jersey but it was never worn. Cos it was never needed unfortunately. Think we nearly always wore green in that period due to our opponents
1998 for me
Round 1: 92-93 for me
Round 2: I’d go with the current jersey, just because the other wasn’t worn, doesn’t really feel real to me until it’s been used
current away kit
Current away.
Current away though it was the toughest call yet for me.
Windsor away beats Lansdowne away 8-5 and progresses. Lansdowne away may have a chance in Friday's repechage by the sound of comments though. As yet, no kit has received fewer than 4 votes; no losing kit got more than 4 votes in the home jersey competition, so definitely a tighter contest this one.
As proof of that, it's dead level between the never worn and most recently worn away kits. Votes taken all day, as we move on to two vertical stripes worn at major finals. It's Euro 2012 v USA 94

2012.
2012 - a tragic tournament but a very nice jersey. I remember my friend bringing it to Poland, brand new, tags still on it - then gets a big blob of ketchup down the front of it about an hour into day one. :)
The current kit and USA 94. Although they're close calls again.
2012 is nice. 94 has aged abysmally. I think I liked it at 13 but not so much 5 days after I turned 40!
Great question - answered:

I’ll go USA 94. Both nice kits
98/00
usa 94
98-00 & 1994
USA 94. Love the Orange number on front
The kits at Euro 2012 were as dismal and unimaginative as our performances
Euro 2012 for me.
2012 for me. very good kit.
One of these will get a second chance on Friday of course - exactly for the chance of two quality kits being drawn together in the first round. Of course, if it gets knocked out a second time later on, then it's definitely not the best kit :)
1994 is the nicest jersey we have ever had, home or away.
