So here's the story:
If Sheriff are in then they'll be at home to Aisling Annacotty in the AUL Complex on Sunday April 28 at 2PM.
If Regional are in then they'll play Aisling Annacotty in Jackman Park On Saturday April 27 at 7PM.
The finals have to go ahead on May 11 as there's no other available date at the Aviva.
Any word on the final outcome of Regional v Sheriff?
Madness.
So if Regional lose the appeal, Aisling have to sort a bus, hotel and all that, on a bank holiday weekend, and have roughly 4 hours to do so...assuming they are given the result around lunchtime.
And if Regional win, then both teams have an evening to prepare for the biggest game in their clubs' history.
The competition is a farce this year
Such a pity , but we have to understand amateurs are running the FAI Junior Council so its hard to be harsh
Semi Final
Sheriff YC 1-0 Aisling Annacotty
Can you pay at the gate or what's the story?
Fai junior cup has been postponed
Officially off.
Some few days in the life of juniorball all the same,Regional out after the Jnr,Snr and Arb councils all went against ...still protesting their innocence, blaming Fai, local council and clubs.....Aisling finally get to play their semi-final ,lose and now in turn object ,..and St.Micheals wait.and wait...and wait..
The fai junior cup Has lost its value, The rule book for amateur soccer must change if it is to get back to been a prestigious trophy again. The attendance for the semi is there for everyone to see, late notice or not.
Junior cup will never lose its value ,every few years there are controversies of one sort or another, however clubs move on and get on with it.the rule book could do with a bit of tinkering but clubs need to get their house in order ,Regional are the ones feeling hard done by this year ,down the years a few others have felt the same ,rules are there for a purpose and many clubs including Regional have availed and benifited from those same rules.
Probably the most accurate summary of all this ridiculousness. If Sherrif go by a similar wayside then so be it.
The ldmc must hold some responsibility, brazuca had forms excepted and stamped to the league knowing they are illegally. Surly educating the teams on the fifa rule book is a must.

Any reason why the competition won’t be scrapped for this season, any precedent for this?
Start of June, this competition has gotten eerily quiet...
Is the final going to be played at all?
Is this competition null and void or what's going on. Google isn't helping to get an update. Is it a case that Junior soccer is about to get the reshuffle it needs and we will finally see Junior football being returned to what it should be, an amateur game for amateur players in amateur clubs. Are clubs with endless resources going to be forced to go up the ladder?
Final is August 31, no venue yet.
What happened that it hasn’t been played?
The usual...objections about players.
Was speaking to a St.Michaels man this week. They have been told the final is fixed for Saturday August 31st - St.Michaels v Sheriff, so all the objections must have been thrown out. St.Michaels were told the venue would be decided this week but they are still awaiting official word from the FAI.
UPDATE. The F.A.I. Junior Cup Final will be played at Eamonn Deacy Park Galway on Saturday 31st August.
Jesus why Galway when limerick would have been best for both teams?
Pre season game between winners of FAI Intermediate Cup and FAI Junior Cup. Introduced a couple of years ago.
FAI junior cup is finished, the value of the competition is gone
Fai junior cup will never lose its value, like all competitions it will just move on to next season and have its excitement and controversy like it has every year.
Sheriff have been put in Major in LSL,will be Intermediate next season.
Many teams from Dublin have gone higher grade down the years, nothing new there, the FAI JUNIOR CUPs value is certainly not dependent on teams from Dublin that are lost to the intermediate ranks ,more teams come along to take up the flak.its an all Ireland competition btw so the Dubs are only part of the equation.
