Finished Galway Utd 2 NUIG 0 this morning. Enda Curran & Padraic Cunningham on target
Only the 8 goals for us tonight. When the league starts it's going to be an awful disappointment when we're back to normality.
I thought Sligo with the likes of Dinny, Wearen and Beattie alongside the two world class stars from lands afar would be a serious side and these thrashings of less than respectable opposition isn't doing anything to make me change my stance. They'll run a riot on the league.
Makes me long for the days when Stephen Kenny's Rovers thumped Waterford 8-0 in pre-season.
Cool, pre-season league table anyone? Add your team:
(team -played-won-drew-lost-for-against-points)
Dundalk 4 3-1-0 14-2 10
Longford Town 3-1-2-0-9-8-5
We're in the relegation zone after loses to Athlone and Finn Harps. Worrying times.
Sligo Rovers 4 4-0-0 26-3 12
Harps in their cup final next though......
we've already won a trophy sorry nidge

If Dundalk win the Malone Cup* tomorrow night v Drogs, this could change things significantly, Longford could move into the Euro spot contentions?
* We usually lose this spectacularly on pens anyway, nothing taken for granted at this early stage.
Our defense is as mighty as ever :D
City 7-5-0-2-22-6-15
Irish Colleges/Universities 3-2 Drogheda United
Played at Blanch IT at the start of the week.
Irish Colleges/Universities 1-1-0-0-3-2-3
City 3-1 st Mary's.. gaynor, o Flynn and dunleavy with the goals
Now playing Waterford instead of cabinteely.. strange

Aidan Price and Vinny Faherty played
May The Lord have mercy on our souls.
Dundalk 2 Drogs 0 in the annual Jim Malone cup game, surprisingly a rare win for us, have lost on pens most years! Seemed to be a comfortable win, most notable for the first time I can recall an exact attendance given for a 'friendly' (1,195)

Saints won two nil over shels last night in tolka, loads of cops around for a friendly there must have been trouble planned between our and shels idiot element.
I was talking to a Guard at the game, he was saying there was trouble last time so they had a few units on to be safe. Some of the Pats idiots were there but left 15 minutes into the game when they realised the Shels ones weren't at the game. I wish they'd just **** off for good.
Official Attendance given as 6,000 at Tallaght- excellent earner as tickets were €20 for adults and€10 for kids

Hmm 2-2, 4-3, 3-3, 3-3. I think our defence may need a bit of fine tuning. I know you can't read too much into preseason but it's a slight concern all the same.
I assume that LA Galaxy will receive a tasty chunk of the gate.Quote:
