Hughton's comments on Towell today:
“I thought he was very good. He’s a fit lad, hasn’t had the games he’d have liked, got a whack towards the end, but I thought he covered a really good distance today.”
But he picked out 3 others as the best
Devoted thread on his performance on the Brighton forum. There are opposing views and no real consensus but I think the majority were happy with his performance and feel he can provide an option for the first team.

Jesus, you wouldn't want to rely on that lot for a scouting report.
I thought it provided concrete evidence that attending the game (real fans) doesn't automatically endow them with a morsel of intelligence.
Hang on now. You're challenging one of the fundamental laws of YBIG here.
It's a lonely place to be for sure but they'll never take me down.
doesn't make the match day squad for tonight's home game v wednesday.
Any hope of him getting a move in this window? Seems to be wasting his time there.
Scored to put Brigton one up at Lincoln in the FA Cup
Edit - haha just saw my previous post, all is not lost Richie :o
Well done d1ck towell

Nice finish.
Just on BBC now as well, such a classy, confident finish. The celebration might need further explanation though.
He got booked for his celebration still at least he didn't get sent off for it!
I can't see what is wrong with it.
Well it's obviously for jumping on the advertising boards in front of his own supporters. They seem to have gone pretty strick on that. At the risk of sounding like a killjoy, I can kind of see the logic when over-enthusiastic supporters tend to rush towards the player celebrating. Might be frightening enough if you have a young child with you, or for an elderly person. Maybe... or maybe it's just H&S gone mad and yet another symbol of an overly sanitised sport.
Apparently a German club is interested but he is worrled they will just leave him on the bench.
On the bench tonight against Rotherham
on as a late substitute, still had time to drag a shot wide when through one on one with the keeper
Out of the squad for tonight's game against Derby.
Duffy and Keogh miss out through injury, Pearce and Christie start for Derby, Pearce captains the Rams.
A goal and an assist from Richie Towell see's Brighton & Hove Albion’s under-23s lifted the Parafix Sussex Senior Cup

Looks like Towell will go out on loan to the Championship next season and won't get his chance in the Premier League: http://www.theargus.co.uk/sport/1528...gue_wish_list/

Forget a loan, he needs a permanent move. Joining the lads at Preston would be a great move for him I think.
I think he would be very fortunate to get a move to a Championship team.
