Where did the Bohs figure come from Nigel? Looks official but a little on the low side. The official capacity this season is over 4000 so hard to believe there were 600-700 empty seats in the ground. I wonder if the kids go free scheme was counted towards total attendance.Quote:

Also, I would add in GUFC stats if I felt them necessary, but since it's a completely new club, I don't think it would make much sense. There'd be as much use putting in Mervue or Salthill attendance stats as GUFC.
It's only marginally more a new club than Cork or Derry were. 90%+ of the people at Galway FC never took in a Mervue or Salthill game in their lives, but a big majority were Galway United fans. It's basically a merger of Galway United with two local clubs and I think it would be appropriate to recognise that, although I think you're entitled to make the final decision of course.Quote:

4,000 was the figure given for the crowd at the equivalent fixture last year ( which I thought was 3-400 too high). The crowd last Friday was significantly bigger. Take 400 empty seats off the Des Kelly and add in the approx 200 extra in the oversold Jodi . ( I walked through the main gate of the stand with a lot of other members without being recorded when that gate was opened to relieve the congestion in Dalymount lane)Quote:
