Saw the rendition last night and I recall struggling to slow to her pace at the Sweden game. I think whoever's been arranging her solo vocal performances without music must be going for the style of a sustained and spine-tingling emotive lament or something, but it really doesn't work in terms of rousing a crowd for a football match, especially when delivered at such a sluggish pace. It's an atmosphere-killer. It sickens me to the pit of my guts it does. That it should happen at all is conceptually wrong IMO -but that's just a bad call, an error of judgement -whether it's Placido Domingo, John McCormack, Monserrat Caballe or whoever.
