Anyone with the result or a match report from Mayfield Intermediate Cup game?
finished 3-0 our lads gifted them the 3 goals,an og by steph after 10 minutes,a flick on from a corner dropped to a guy free at the back post for a tap in and there 3rd was a late break away goal where they had a 3 v 2.Our lads play poor never showed up,st pat are a average team at best and i'd be very shocked if they went on to win the intermediate cup.
Dale 0-0 at ht. Podge saved a pen in first half.
Dale won 1-0, Graham with the goal, Belgrove ended with 10
If Pats are 'average at best' what does the make Mayfield?
Pats controlled the game from the first minute til the last. Mayfield were poor because there werent allowed play and only for a couple of decent saves from the Mayfield keeper and a superb last ditch tackle from the captain it would have been more than three.
Semi final now consists of:
Avondale
Tolka
UCD
St Pats CY
You would expect the winner to be one of Dale or Tolka.
Does anybody know when the draw takes place?
Mayfield were extremely poor, Pats were comfortable as I said, small bald lad in the middle ran the show and yes it could have been more.
Mayfield had 1 or 2 chances before Pats got their third and could have made a game had they scored but once the third went in it was over.
Mayfield side look extremely young, keeper especially, on that performance very hard to understand how they beat UCC.
Mayfield are rebuilding after going down last season they lost at least 6 players who played week in week out,
If you were there you would have seen that most of the team are made up of the under 19's with some older lads wrong side of 30.I said pats are average because i been watching senior football for years. If avondale get them they will hit them for 3 or more goals.besides the bald midfielder they don't have much there just well set up and work hard for each other
Draw is on today @2pm I think
Home final if they win the semi though.
Tolka 0-0 Dale HT
dales 2 up chubbs with both , look odds on to win another intermediate cup , some achievement, can see either UCD or pats trouble them !!!!
Finished 2-0, super achievement.
Lobbed the keeper for the first, second was a pile driver
Well done to Avondale amazing record in the last few years, doing cork proud.

Good luck to avondale again flying the flag for cork football again. Can only be good for cork soccer

I think lads on here need to do a little more research before writing off any team or club at a whim, Pats CY are in the semi's having already come through two away ties in Cork, they are competing in the strongest amateur division in the country, the club is almost eighty years old and can count the Junior cup amongst its huge trophy haul over its history, in recent years they have reached many big cup finals, they were beaten by Wayside in last seasons Metro final 3-2 and lost only 1 nil to Shamrock Rovers in the Leinster Senior cup final in 2012 having beaten UCD and Bray along the way to the final in Tallaght stadium, they have lost a lot of good players over the past 12 months and are weaker but you mention that 'baldy' lad in the middle, his name is Alan Murphy and had had a decent career, they still have two Junior Internationals in their side and they captain played for the league team just last weekend in Scotland, a few other players are seasoned Intermediate lads and the younger players have come through a good Saturday side that reached the last 16 of the Junior cup last season.
UCD 5-0 St Pats CY this morning
So much for dont wright off pats cy!!
Do Avondale and UCD have 20 fans between them? Better get your tickets now lads, gonna be a sellout LOL.
WoW you have some nerve to make a comment like that with a Cobh Ramblers logo on your profile,I can't stop laughing, this of all times isn't the time to be spitting out of St Coleman's park when there is far more that can be spat in,league of Ireland basement club, enjoy the season
Reminder to all that this final will be played this coming Sunday with a 1pm kick off at Turners Cross.
Great to hear you're getting in for free.
