Joe Shaughnessy played 90 for Aberdeen also
daniel kerins has been called back to peterboro hopefully gets chance there
Be prepared to see red when you read this about Owen Coyle being interested in the Scottish job, but what a bu##sh#t article! When was the last time Scotland were considered to be any good? Maybe Coyle is trying to ingratiate himself with the Scottish fans, but he never seemed that sort of person to me.

Clearly he wasnt good enough for Ireland either ,with his 1 Cap
finnegan our under18 defender made bench for doncaster for 1st time i think today
Unfortunately a great goal for Gleeson - playing for *&$&$?! against the fabulous Wimbledon.
Joe Shaughnessy played another 90 for Aberdeen
Goal for Hereford's Josh O'Keefe in the FA Cup. Nice move sees a ball dinked in to the center of the box, O'Keefe's relatively weak header (hard to generate power) from 6 yards is parried right back to him and he thumps the rebound in to the net.
I know the level was far off the EPL, but Gleeson, playing for MK Dons against Wimbledon the other day, looked very very good. His touches were excellent and his picking of a pass and moving into space was top rate. I believe he could do a job for a top Championshp side.
Gleeson and Potter both looked good in midfield but Williams is the outstanding player in that team. He's a midfielder by trade but he has the makings of a super centre-half. His reading of the game is fantastic.
Looks like Sean Maguire will be signing for West Ham, best of luck to him.

Good luck to him - very promising player. Didn't realise Burns had been on trial there too.
Joe o shaughnessy got himself a new 3 year deal at aberdeen and roberts staying with inverness till end of season
Undoubtedly best day of the season for the Irish thus far. Mccarthy x2, Brady, Meyler, Murphy, Sammon, Foran, GARVAN (yet again this season), Sheridan all on the score sheet and still 10 mins to go. It's days like this that make following Irish football worthwhile
Not to mention Mick McCarthys ongoing success 5 wins in 7 and the Tractor Boys out of the relegation zone. Good stuff Mick. Legend.
all the day's appearance data here: http://irish-abroad.appspot.com/Live
There's been a few days with lots of Irish goalscorers recently, I'll have a look later and see when the most goals took place
There was a stage today when briefly on BBC's vidi printer, three of the four scorers on show in the rolling thingy were Irish iirc. Great stuff.
That would be interesting indeed. But from the point of view of young promising Irish players that have a genuine chance at making a big impression at international, I don't think today will be beaten from that perspective. McCarthy, Meyler and Brady netting 4 between them. And Garvan also netting one. Although Garvan got off to a slow start with some inconsistent performances, apparently he has been playing a lot more consistently as the season has developed. If Palace keep going the way they are going and Garvan keeps playing well, it will be hard for Trap to resist calls to call him up. But I wouldn't get too excited about him yet for the time being (he has disappointed too many times in the past when I got my hopes up!). We'll see how he is going in the New Year
I checked it out, and there were 15 goals scored today, just one less than the 16 goals scored last weekend on the 1st December, which is the current most goals scored by Irish players in one day this season
the most goals scored in one day by Irish players in the Irish Abroad database is 18, scored on two separate dates almost a year apart:
4th October 2008: http://irish-abroad.appspot.com/Game...ate=2008-10-04
31st October 2009: http://irish-abroad.appspot.com/Game...ate=2009-10-31
Irish Abroad statistics for November 2012: http://irish-abroad.appspot.com/MonthlyStats?month=11
Millwall's David Forde finished the month with 5 wins
Midfielders Daniel Kearns, Wes Hoolahan and Anthony Pilkington all started 3 draws in November
Wolves duo Stephen Ward and Kevin Doyle started the most draws, finishing on the losing side 5 times
Quite a few players started 6 games with Paddy Kenny, Darren Randolph, Stephen Henderson, David Forde, Richard Keogh, Damien Delaney, Sean Dillon, Stephen Ward, Gavin Gunning, Matt Doherty, Tommie Hoban, Daniel Kearns, Willo Flood, Conor Sammon, Jon Daly and Kevin Doyle all in the starting XI six times
Of these Paddy Kenny, David Forde, Darren Randolph, Stephen Henderson, Damien Delaney, Richard Keogh, Sean Dillon, Stephen Ward, Gavin Gunning, Matt Doherty, Tommie Hoban, Daniel Kearns and Jon Daly all went on to complete 90 minutes
Eoin Doyle was withdrawn from the action more than any other player, the Hibs striker was substituted 5 times in November
Coincidentally, another striker was introduced from the bench the exact same number of times - Alan Lee
Unsurprisingly, goalkeepers are left on the bench once again the most with Colin Doyle remaining unused 7 times. Of the outfield players, Derby's Mark O'Brien was an unused sub the most, remaining on the bench 5 times
After defender Damien Delaney topped the goalscoring charts in October, no defender scored in November. Lee Frecklington, Jon Daly, Paul Heffernan, Andy Keogh and Conor Sammon all found the net 3 times, with Keogh's goals leading to 3 wins for Millwall
19-year-old Donegal defender Carl McHugh (on loan from Reading) has started for Bradford in their League Cup quarter-final game at home to Arsenal. Bradford are 1-0 at the minute with nearly 25 minutes gone.
Sorry, my mistake. :)
Kevin Long started for Burnley today. Is that his first start in the Championship for them after numerous loans?
I believe it is, yes. He came on as a sub earlier in the season. I wasn't sure he'd make it at Burnley so this is a good sign, and another fillip to the League of Ireland.
A Peterborough forum is speculating about a move for Devine & Williams of Villa as it seems they may not be offered anything by Villa. Tough if true, FA Youth Cup winning CB pairing and its still not enough.

Didn't Williams make his Premier League debut only the other week? He's also made the bench for Villa quite a few times in recent weeks.
Barry McNamee along with Stephen McLaughlin joining Notts Forest..
Sean Maguire signed a two and a half year deal with West Ham
Thats great news.Is Mcnamee 21?Any derry fans give us some info on him? I only saw him in the cup final and could not believe how comfortable and technical he was as an attacking midfielder yet he seemed to only get games for derry in last few months of season cause they had loads of injuries. Heard stephen kenny commentating on cup final and he said mcnamee was a left back when kenny was in charge!
