will hayhjurst the preston winger who has played 20 odd games this season and has been a near ever present since christmas is in the 19s squad for the june qualifiers. That squad also should have wide players like mcevoy, george, garmston(who may play left full) and grealish. Will be interesting to see if grealish is picked. he was on standby last month for the 21s

Obviously we have been discussing the idiotic treatment of Grealish in his own thread but this is interesting squad. Will be extremely attacking squad as I can only see Gallagher been a typical central midfield type player with the likes of miele and sadlier been very much attacking players and mcevoy , hayhurst, garmston and evans wingers and maguire , byrne and tioflack strikers. Best of luck to them it looks strong

Just discovered that Sam Byrne of Man Utd is brother of Adam Byrne who is named in the Irish U20 team for the upcoming Rugby World Cup and has already made his full debut for Leinster. Some sporting family!
Good luck to under 19's this week .....

Best of luck. McEvoy on bench.
2-0. Sadlier and byrne
Byrne 16' (assist from Hayhurst)
Sadlier 23' (direct from a free)
EDIT: From the full match centre it looks like we are whopping them.

EDIT: EDIT:
Hayhurst hits the woodwork 37'
Frey got one back on 43'.
2-1 at HT
Ouch, Frey gets one back right before half time. Their only shot on target.
Serbia leading Slovakia 2-0 in the other game, we're playing Slovakia on Saturday evening, and Serbia in the final game on Tuesday
<EDIT>
3-0 now
2-2 now.
Campo 52'
66' gone
Finished 2-2. Looks like we threw that one away.
They seemed to up their game in the second half. Another reason to hate the Swiss. Gah.
Anyone know about your man Miele playing for us? German origin?
Serbia won 4-0 too.
No idea but I hear he hoovers up possession and keeps it on the floor.
Miele would be German you'd think. There's no Irish origin as far as I know. He is a decent signing after a couple of years on Football Manager.
An exceptionally attacking team only Gallagher in there as a holding midfielder with 2 attacking midfielders, 2 wingers and a striker great to see such attacking intent.
Miele is most common in Italy, although it has several possible origins, one of which is Germanic. Miele is the Italian for honey. Also could mean 'son of Michael' from the Italian for Michael which is Michele.

1 all 20 mins left.byrne again much changed side. swiss winning unfortunately
injury time goal to get a 2 all draw. they need to beat the serbs and hope the swiss dont beat the slovaks to qualify.anotheer goal for sam byrne. Any chance of him making it at utd? Great to be well in contention in the last game
Ended 2-2. We conceded a goal in injury team and then equalised!! At least we're still in it.
Just the first placers. With a small pool of players so it must be difficult to be competitive every season . hard for us when we missing the likes of roberts, wilkinson and drennan up top, Grealish and george as creative forces, lenihan from blackburn, dillon from hull and pepper at inverness as other centremid options and mcfadden, the o Reillys and hoban as centre back options.
That is nearly another squad of players that have played for us and are at english clubs the majority of which would expect to be first choice if available and which you could definately make a good side out of and Im sure there are others. I think we have had a bit of an injury nightmare unfortunately.
Why isn't Grealish there? is he injured?
Good to see that we've a competitive team, especially with all of those lads missing.
Grealish was just left out it seems not injured. has another year left at under 19

So what are the permutations here, we need to win and hope the Swiss lose? What if we finish level on points, goal difference?
Good news for Ireland, Slovakia are 1 up.
Good news, but we still need a win at the least.
0-0 at half time, still 1-0 to Slovakia in the other group game.
as it stands, we're bottom of the group, but a goal would put us top
Serbia are putting on a lot of pressure from the looks of it.
2-0 Slovakia. A single goal will put us through but we don't look like doing it. Serbia have had 10 efforts in the second half to our 0. Kenneth McEvoy and Luke Gallagher on.
Slovakia 2 up now, if we could just nick a goal....
This reminds me of playing Champ Manager years ago waiting for the flash of text GOAL!
Ive tried grabbing that attack indicator and pushing it towards the Serbs goal!
1 goal from qualifying. Hard luck.
Ended 0-0. Very disappointing considering we'd be through if we'd only defended the two-goal lead against the Swiss. We only had one shot in the entire second half and two in the game overall, so we were probably very lucky to even draw today.
