Good thinking. Save yerselves the long travel, an be fresh then for yer annual assault at the title.
Brains to burn down there. Must get to bookies n back the rovers
worth a punt :)
given the transfer fees and the upgrade of the dressing rooms costs have perhaps come into play but we have huge finincal backing from overseas investors so at the moment we are pretty solvent but need to keep an eye on things :) :) :)
Wednesday evening should have some good games.

Early in season yet. Typical derby. Could have gone either way. Doin a mr wenger on daveys red. Didn't see it. Harsh supposedly.
Have a feeling the total points will be lower then last few seasons. Teams are gonna drop points to each other more. And it makes things interesting. Everyone complaining last season that avenue won first 6. Such is life.
Serious signing Davey wall to the village. Great player.
[QUOTE=Play_On;1398586]No sign of mastermind or avenueC yet after the defeat... heard avenue finished with 10 men. what were the tage like?[/QUOTE
It was very much a typical derby match, Tage were hungry in the tackle(ref a bit too lenient on some of their tackles) yet he sent me off for my first bad tackle of the game, while I admit it was not a good tackle I didnt feel as though it warranted a straight red card..was late but I pulled out of it and didnt make any contact with player. Everybody I spoke to after the game said it was harsh. Back to the game itself, Tage had a great attitude and while they were under alot of pressure at times they blocked everything, we had most of the play but I felt Tage had the better chances. We at Avenue arent getting too down in ourselves yet, we know a couple of wins will get us right back in it and its not as if any of the teams are gonna win every game. Any reports on how the other games went last night?
Bunratty 1-1 Bridge united
Good start for bridge in first half should of scored in first minute, derek fahy and jamie o gorman causing alot of problems to bunratty defence. Bunratty also had a chance in which tevez wouldnt feel too bad now where ball was on the line and bunratty striker managed to clear it around the post.
Bridge scored from the spot towards end of first half.
Second half was very scrappy neither team tried to get ball down and play, the loss of derek fahy was a changing point in the game. Still both team had chances from long balls. Bunratty should have been reduced to 10 men when their left back recklessly kicked out at trevor maxwell as he burnt him down the right hand side, with 5mins left shane o connor was awarded suspicous free kick just outside the box in which he scored. In the last minute bridge were reduced to 10men as richie lillis was sent off for telling referee f**k off after another dubious free was awarded to bunratty. This sending off resulted in biggest cheer of the day from bunratty line. Its purely obvious now why 10players left bunratty team;););)
Who are all these new additions planners??? By the looks of the team that’s been fielded lately they could really do with all the additions they could get. The team has gone downhill drastically this year compared to the teams that ye would have fielded over the past few seasons ant idea what the reason for this is??

Id also have to ask why it is purely obvious that these players left ??
Is it me or is the refereeing so far been pretty bad.the avenue/tage game last night was a typical derby but the ref ruined it.fair play to the tage they took the goals well.but the whistle was been blown time after time from player to player contact at throw-ins/corners/free kicks. And missed the most important decisions. Why did he disallow the goal and why was Davy shown straight red
We wont get personal now lads well keep to soccer talk. Lets just say the majority of 10 lads that have left the club have left for same reason with the
exception of 2. As for the bitterness part dont think theres any love lost so dont be codding yourself ice-man and as for red cards i think hes going for the 500 mark before he retires so not far to go.:p:p:p
still dont know why its purely obvious?
When you consider last years team { starting 11 } to this year there isn’t a huge difference - - don’t understand you comment on " gone downhill drastically " - 2009 won the cup - 2010 won nothing but did very well in the league / 1 year later and we have 1 point from 6 - -
Look at Ave - won the league last year - so far are stuttering to get going this year -
At the end of the day it’s only starting, so hold off on the naive comments for a bit - and we'll talk
later

Newmarket at HOME next week for the third week in a row....find that strange. Not that Im complaining about having to play on probably the best pitch in the county. Anyway back to winning ways against Rineanna. Con Collins scored an unreal goal to get us level 25 yard rocket to the top corner and then adrian mcdonagh scored the winner with about 15 to 20 mins to go. Thought we should have been out of sight in this game but didnt take our chances. Any report on Newmarket v bunratty today? Vidic class did Davy Wall make his debut today in the village?
Good win for tulla. Can't imagine half the bridge team being too fresh today.
Hermitage the new team of the town???
No offence taken - - - its an aging team and we have off loaded the dead wood :) - - couple of new fellows in and compared to the team 3 season ago it has improved immensley !! especially at the back where we now have an hugly improved selection :) - -
AVE beat us yesterday - wasnt at the match but hear that a draw would have been a fair result - ref a bit biased but as usual the " top" teams get the rub of the green !
Let me tell you planners Ye did not deserve a draw, in fact it should have been 5 or 6. We got a stone wall penalty which we missed and that was the only decision he had to make. overall it was a clean game and didnt hear the rineanna lads complaining after it.
Can any one confirm/deny that Davy wall is getting money to play for Newmarket?
Would this be a first in clare league ??
