Shocking.
A Harps fan making jokes about other teams, how ironic:D

Kenna couldn't be far from the sack now....:D
Pats fans were saying in Galway last week that Kenna goes home twice a week back to England. That cant be good.
Just thinking, at Galway his results picked up when they played 4-5-1, with O'Shea behind the striker. Was that a tactical piece of management, or was it a bit of defensiveness that seemed to accidentally work ?
That was a tactic that Ian Foster introduced in training, on his arrival. If you look back at when Ian signed for united last season, you will see that that was when our season turned around, previously to that, jeff hadn't won a single match with united as manager.

Here's a link to the reaction to the Derry-Bohs game on Friday. Scroll forward to 2.56 for a recap of the goals and then post match interviews with Stephen Kenny, Mark McChrystal and Pat Fenlon.
Great atmosphere
Athlone's mascot was dismissed last night. Proper order too; hate mascots. Then Athlone had a lad booked twice for complaining between our goal and the restart. We missed about four open goals. Bizarre game. Very enjoyable though. :)
Ya we did WHEN he was with us, but he f**ked about and p!ssed us about for month and then decided to leave. He would have had the people of Galway's respect had he decided to leave immediately after the UCD game, but he waited around and committed to us and then went
How much?
That's around the figure we thought up there too but it's hard to judge when it's not your ground.
Pat's were appalling, Byrne looked like he just wanted to get off the pitch and away from the embarrassment, clown.
That said I was delighted with how we played and for the first time didnt line the goal after going 1 up. Great laugh in the first half '7 more goals and we're top of the league' but second half was dead, like a training game.
Great trip though, wasn't expecting that sort of win at all.
i guess i missed your point too.... what exactly is the point you are trying to make that no-one is quite grasping??
I'm saying just cos someone leaves the club, it's no reason to take away from what they done while at your club. Yes you'd lose respect for them or hate them cos of the way they left but if they did a good job while there, why try and say it wasn't him(Kenna) at all, it was Foster all along.
isnt that just the nature of being a fan??
I can see why Galway fans are saying what they are. Roddy was vilified (by a large minority) after he left Bohs and everyone said it was Pete Mahon that won the league until Pete actually took over.....
bleh. Silly argument.
It's very, very hard to stomach as a Pats supporter. We've had periods before when we were a poor poor side (late Eamonn Collins to early Johnny Mac era for example) But I don't think I've ever been so disappointed in the team and management as I am now. Last time we were poor we were spending sod all and at least had the excuse of a bargain basement squad, but we were still better then than we are now. I'd guess we're still in the top 3/4 spenders as well. There is the backbone of a decent, fairly experienced squad there (though admittedly very short on options up front.) To be surrendering games the way we have lately is something of a disgrace. I know it's early days and I would never usually be in favour of knee jerk reactions, but all the signs are that Kenna just isn't up to the job. Hard to see things improving with him in charge. Europe could be horrific
shels v longford...
can you knee the ball back to the keeper? not thigh. knee?
really? is it not just chest and head?
so its just his foot that you can't get the ball back to the keeper.
You can't play it back to the keeper using your arms or the leg below the knee. Anything else is ok. Brennan does it all the time.
