I agree. i reckon we need a crash in the value of the euro and a sense of injustice over a ****ty treaty forced on us. Roll on the Lisbon treaty referendum.

The point of the last two posts is what? That this stuff isn't allowed? Well duh, the point of the pro-pyro people has been that we don't give a flying fck if they are allowed or not and we don't care what the likes of you two think.
Whereas the Setanta Cup appears to be a free for all in terms of pyros....
€250 for Shams for the smokes and flares against Bohs
No offence, BohsPartisan, but your last few posts make you sound like you're about 14 years old...
I think flares look great personally, but there's a clear public safety risk involved, particularly in old and decrepit stadia such as those in our league.
Just last month in Bosnia, Modrica's goalkeeper Bojan Tripic severely burned his hands removing a flare thrown by opposition fans from the pitch and missed several games as a resullt.
None taken. I was simply affording John and Steve's posts the respect they deserved. People keep bringing up red herrings like the legality of flares into this debate when nobody is disputing their legal status. As for throwing them, well of course there should be fines for throwing them at players, near players and they shouldn't be thrown at all.
Latest fines are out, ones of note
Cork City were fined €50 as a result of a flare discharged v Galway United (11.04.08)
Limerick 37 were fined €100 as a result of smoke canisters and a banger discharged v Athlone Town (12.04.08).
Shelbourne were fined €150 as a result of till rolls been discharged v Longford Town (11.04.08).
€150 for till rolls and €50 for a flare, the FAI are the stupidest ***** going
Fines totaling €300 among three sepearte clubs are considered noteworthy!!!!, and abusive messages are posted on the MB. I am very happy that the FAI attempt to keep pyromaniacs in check if their response is to abuse the organisation running football in the country. I'm glad Intermediate Certificate students aren't running football nor making decisions on my safety.
Jesus H. I can picture it now.
Middle aged woman goes to her gaeny to see about a certain 'discharge'
"Do you know what exactly it is madam"
"Sure I do. It's a till roll"
