******. There are good people involved with Shels who have practically given up their whole lives for the club. You have no idea what you're talking about. I know people who have worked tirelessly for years in a voluntary capacity to keep the place ticking over. Do you honestly think they could have influenced the decisions of our owner????? You're an *******.
I see the fudge has been completed (according to todays Indo).
Ollie will remain as owner of Shels, the debt will be cleared and the FAI will approve it all enabling them to take their place in the Premier.
If Shels are correct in saying that they submitted accurate accounts this year and last, surely this (following on the heels of Dublin City) indicates Licensing has totally failed to meet its stated aims?
just fell off my chair with the shock
this whole issue is a farce.
delaney out
staunton out
shelbourne out
maxi maxol from dundalk for president
If that story is true it is sad. Its an end to any credibility the league has had. Delaney must go if this is true.
The absolute minimum financial standard Licensing should have achieved is to ensure that clubs has sufficient finances to fund themselves for the next 12 months, including a sufficient level of working capital to ensure that poor results, falling gates, an early Cup/European exit etc. are able to be absorbed without creditors being put at immediate risk.
In this respect audited accounts are much less important than the next years budget.
Thats the story that was doing the rounds over the weekend not so much as a slap on the wrist for Shels. This is definitely the worst decision ever by the league if it comes to pass a 15 point deduction or more stringent sanctions was the minimum they should have got but as I posted before Ollie has a hold over Delaney and this if its true proves it.
How can they have dealt with Rovers, then Limerich FC the way they did and then let Shels away with this?
Anyone know when we can expect an official announcement
then again seen as its the FAI were talkin' about probably on the eve of the season at the earliest
If Shels have not been found guilty of anything, then a points deduction can't be applied.
Its an admission of complete incompetence by the FAI.
Bob Breen should be packing up his stuff for starters.
heard on friday that it could be wednesday before outcome is revealed which leaves the launch the following friday a damp squib. Surely Shels themselves would want it sorted as the 28th is the last day for signing players.
i think every fan in ireland should bycott shels home games next season by not traveling to them,
start a campaign going, (lets all bycott tolka)
Can't see it happening. In fact I forsee record away crowds at Tolka this year.
Was thinking along these lines myself. The Hillsborough families organised a boycott of hilsborough for Liverpool v Sheffield Wed in 2000 and a few hundred liverpool fans turned up. given how emotive the issue is on merseyside the failure of this very publisised Boycott would suggest that we'd be p!ssing in
the wind trying to do it for a whole season
I really hope they get it right this time not to see shels suffer but to restore some kind of confidence in the FAI but alas i will not hold my breath
I suspect Waterford United will halt the start of the league. I can see this going to court and rightly so this time for once. If Shels are allowed to play at all in the EL this season it would truly be a disgrace and a discredit to all the other teams.
