See that Oasis agree with the sentiments here, that the first two albums were the best... Their new best of has 14 out of 18 songs from Definitely Maybe/ Morning Glory era.
Have always been a big Oasis fan. Saw them at the Tivoli in 94 just before Deffo Maybe was released and still rate it the best gig I've been at. A few hundred people packed into that little kip. There was an intensity about them that they've never really had since.
That said - It's the Roses for me. The Stone Roses album just landed fully formed from heaven in '89. Hugely influential and the B sides that accompanied the singles were better than what most bands release as actual albums. Feile 95 was more memorable for the crowd rather than the Roses gig.
