weather and TV coverage no doubt kept the crowd low

I can't see how could get that figure, would need half the St Annes to be full to get that. Looked like 2500-3000 on tv. I'd say 2500 if had to pick a number.

A different thread on away attendances would be interesting...

by looking at the tv 2500 sounds right.. main stand fullish (1500) opposite close to full (700-800) and annes end was fair few there.. (300-400) I may be wrong though!! :rolleyes:

approx 1050-1100 at the RSC v UCD. About 50 on the far side, 100 on the bank beside the stand with another 950 in the main stand.

5500 is the official capacity but if there is a big demand for the game, a lot more will be left in!

How, if the 1200-seater main stand was close to being ful, do you have it at almost a quarter empty? I was opposite the main stand - the far left block was in fact almost empty - only about 20 people in it (probably holds 130). The second block (probably holds 400-ish) was just over half-full, so another 170 empty seats there. There were a fair few empty seats down the front of the other three sections, which I'd say the people standing around (50 on each side of the ground) would have filled. So 1200-110-170=920.

The main stand in the RSC has a capacity of 1270. Block A was near empty but Blocks B, C, D & E were on average 3/4 full giving about 900 in the stand with another 100-150 standing along the ground.

Overall attendance guestimate: 1050-1100.

100 standing. 900+100=1000. Take a few off for conservatism, and we agree.

600-700 at Harps-Kilkenny.
1200 at Dundalk-Kildare (though Dindalk forum refers to a pathetic crowd)

I'd say the crowd was about 1100, the main stand was only about half full and there were a couple of hundred in the new stand.

Decent crowd for Division 1, not a bad game either.

Id agree with

JC on the attendance at the Rovers Game main stand half full and a couple of hundred in the new stand.Good game and i feel the inclusion of ciaran foley after his 3 match suspension will make us even stronger.

That's the away fans' block!! If there were 20 people there, I presume they were locals who sat there because it was empty.
