I remember Mike Walsh but I think you are being a bit harsh there. He was a regular at Bolton for a number of years, some of them in the top flight, before signing for Everton under Howard Kendall and it was only then he became aware he was eligible, otherwise I think he would have more caps. Everton were in a transition and Kendall was signing hosts of players so Walsh lost his place, never played regularly in the first division after that and his call up for us came at a time we had stronger defensive options than probably any time.
