There was a comment on 42.ie that only 4 of our current U21 squad are Irish born. Obviously you can guess the context. That isn't true though. Most of the above are Irish born, no?
Think Hoban, Cullen, O'Dowda, Fenelon and Grego-Cox are the only ones born outside Ireland?
I think it stemmed from Dan McDonnell saying that there was only 4/5 (can't remember exact number) Irish born players in the under 21 squad with Premier league clubs (and none making the first team)
Conor Wilkinson was born in England too.
