How true are the Athlone Town rumours? Hope it doesn't happen. Great to hear some good positive stuff from the fans, players and management alike.

Can't see why we would go bust this season of all. We're paying out peanuts, and the historic debt is coming down through the Parton's Club.

If anything, there is a rumour going around about a money-man coming in.

Looks like there was something to those rumours. According to RTE an anonymous donor has given Athlone €500k to clear their debt on their ground. Nice little boost for ye. Should free up a few quid to improve the squad. Jammy gits.
