On first viewing it looks like he is completely free, but look at it again. After Cillian makes contact with the ball, you see a red player emerge from behind him. Looks like he went up for a header and outmuscled his marker.

That's mad! I couldn't see that guy at all on the original (gif?/flash?) I can see the marker plain as day on the Youtube vid.
