Anywhere but the WI which is a kip, but then there is not a decent hotel in CBR anyway. The McWilliam is a fine hotel and a superior venue.

Game is going ahead in Milebush, inspite of the meteorological conditions out there.
Heard that the U.12s had a fantastic 3-1 win in Sligo yesterday after extra time. Must have been some slagging between Jim Rocliffe and Terry Delahunt!!:D:D:D
Hot off the press!! Westport United's game is called off due to Galway Bohs bus apparently being cancelled by the tour operator, thinking that the game would be postponed. Westport are in Milebush and the match officials will be present and Westport are looking to claim the game.
I wouldn't hold your breathe on this one. If they can show that it was cancelled by the tour operator, rather than the club, they have a sound case for the game to be refixed.you are giving your view rather than a club official view of Bohs. There will have support for there case.
If the bus broke down would it not be the same, beyond the control of the club.
Any way Westport would rather win the game on the field of play not in a smokey board room.
It is an insult to suggest that Westport people would not have the manners to... actually i couldn't make out what you were trying to say.
Your English is terrible, that is a matter of fact!
Kenneth, sorry Thunderblaster(!) has already pointed out we had a game the next day. With all the free weekends why did the Mayo League pick a weekend when there were games, and why were Urluar (i think) allowed to call of their game?
As for a Galway Bohs. I dont think anyone mentioned that the bus broke down, the bus co. just didn't bother showing. Between players, committee and supporters don't tell me they hadn't any cars between them to drive down in?
Anyway it doesn't really matter what you think, we will know the outcome next week

ya, 3 cars would bring 1 manager and 11 players !!
I agree with you Thunder, it was a nice gesture by the Mayo News to write a farewell article on a player who has not been in the team for long, but has been integral to Westport's progress this year. It's reassuring to see that foreign nationals are being recognised in the area for their achievements, rather than the old 'They come over here, they take our jobs...' right-wing bull**** the Mail and other similarly xenophobic papers spout week in week out. All the best to him at home and fair play on the titles he won with Westport, as well as his place on the team of the season.
There is a feeling out there that there is more to this than a bus not turning up. Did Bohs have a compliment of 11 assembled to travel? (not forgetting that you can start a game with seven players) When you weigh all this up, something's not quite right, but we will leave it to the powers to be at the Connacht FA to sort out the issue.
Kip or no Kip I do not see to many Hotels in Westport supporting Mayo football (not westport) or that matter Mayo. Come on and accept the way your club left the dinner dance was poor form nothing to do with the hotel. What if the Mayo league turned around and said that you could not rent Milebush for your Connacht Cup game. We would never hear the end of it. As for Bohs not turning up, the have to be out and Utd into the next Rd. Bus cancelled itself what type of business is that.
As I said before, if there was no match on the next day the team would have stayed, they were right to go home we have nothing to be ashamed of.
The ML could have organised this function in the weeks prior to this when there was hardly any football being played, but this is beyond their capabilities.
On the subject of sponsorship, who are our main sponsors? The Castlecourt Hotel owned by the Corcoran family they also sponsor the Westport GAA Team, another one of their businesses sponsors the Westport Rugby Team, and Ballyheane Soccer Club.
[So they sponsor 2 Superleague Teams along with the others, and they are not doing enough? get your facts right.
Their Hotel also has a pool (unlike any of yours) and it is a place you go to and take a jump for yourself…;)
Ha! Ha! Easy on? You are the one thinking up this nonsense, unfortunately it has to be responded to as it is complete nonsense, if you think that I am going to allow you to talk of the top of your head without debate think again, at least back up what you say.
The WI may give "direct" to the ML, but is it of greater value in monetary terms than what the CCH give to the superleague teams?
The WI would get most of their money back from what you spend at ML functions anyway.
I am sure that the CCH would be glad to hold the awards in their hotel if asked.;)
