The Shels final in '07 when Shels fans didn't turn up we brought 7,000+ and same as the Bohs game in the RDS

edit: Hopefully we might bring more as our last 3 finals have been humdingers and some locals were sorry they didn't go.

Somewhere in that region alright if I remember correctly. 6 or 7,000 from Longford I think.

Was it that many it was all lower tiers with very little behind the goals, We were on one side & Longford fans the other wouldn't have thought the lower tiers in the old Lansdowne held that many.

I had a figure of around 13,000 in my head, wiki says 12,000 so somewhere around that size.

Purely speculative I know but how many fans could each of the 5 Dublin clubs bring to a final that they were appearing in, say against a (non major rival) club like Derry?

Bohs 5-6k
$hels 1k
UCD 10 people
Rovers 100,000 tickets sold on lottery.

Shels would bring around the same as Pats, they had 4,000 plus at the 2011 final.

Don't know about 4k they had a decent turnout in the small end of the aviva, the majority was Sligo and neutrals.

Do Shels still have a hold fan-wise around the Ringsend area?

Anyone got attendances/guesses for the recent following games:

19/09: Bray Wanderers 2-4 St. Patrick's Athletic
21/09: Limerick 0-1 Cork City
26/09: Derry City 1-1 Athlone Town
30/09: Bray Wanderers 1-1 Derry City
30/09: St. Patrick's Athletic 3-1 Bohemians
03/10: Limerick 4-2 Athlone Town

Aye, they said something like that. Despite Tolka's capacity not being near that high and there being plenty of empty seats.

I had to go through Ringsend on the bus to get to our Cup replay vs Shels last month and a good few Shels fan got on at Ringsend.

I agree, I think it was closer to 9,000 with Derry having twice as many as Rovers.
