Something weird went on there. He had played for Oldhams 1st team prior to that

As far as I know Vaughan is a fairly small, lightweight lad at this point. So I think the manager maybe felt he wasn't best suited to a scrap at the wrong end of the National League, which is where Oldham found themselves. I think he was probably just at the wrong club in general for the kind of player he is, he's probably better suited to being in an academy setup with a bigger team at this point. Would be great to see him get a few runs out in the Championship.

Ronnie McGrath is another who is pretty highly rated based on what I’ve read in the last couple of years. Although I thought he was an attacker.
McGrath was named as a midfielder in a squad last year

Walsall Head Coach Mat Sadler thinks they "have a real player on their hands" in Ronan Maher and may loan out the 18 year-old to ensure he gets game time before Christmas.

A nice article about Newcastle's Reece Byrne in the Evening Chronicle. At 6' 5" high crosses shouldn't be a problem for him!

Might be good for a, Blankety Blank.
I see this finished 1-1. Anyone watch or share scorers, performance etc?
Mark O'Mahony scored, seems to be having a good start to the season. See someone mentioning that Sean Moore who played LB linked up well with Trent Kone Doherty on the LHS. We were supposedly the more dominant side and Bosnia's goal came from outside the box (surprise surprise).
O'Mahony's goal was a header from a cross on the right. Ball was recycled after a corner.
Equaliser came from a shot from outside the box, from the left. I thought the keeper got a hand to it, but it went in anyway.
The stream was terrible, there's a chance it was recorded on an actual potato.
Cheers lads. And thank you to the person who brought the potato.
