So the reported agreement isn't in place after all?
From this post on their forum, CCFC came seriously close to disappearing today:
By the sound of it, GF could have called time on the club, but didn't.Quote:
No one from CCIFC Ltd was in court...Farrelly's lawyers said that an approach was made to the company but no deal could be reached and it was Farrelly who asked for an adjournment for one week to see if a deal could be done...no additional creditors there either...
If Farrelly did not call for the adjournment we would have been wound up there and then...
No-one from the club in court?! Unbelievable.
Absolutely must, definitely, without fail be a winding up next week. Surely?
Doubt it. TNB will use the Bohs gate money to cover it and it'll stumble on for another while. That'd be my guess anyway.
True- but Farrelly probably knows that if the club is wound up he'll see very little of his money and therefore may end up settling for less. Plus I think I read on your forum he'd been offered 20k, so not too much more to make up. The wages etc could just be reneged on once again.
I think this is getting into the endgame, but could rumble on a little while yet.
As I've said before, I think it's getting to the point that for CCFC fans it may be a case of the sooner it ends the better.
Not much of an agreement though.
The implication (intended or othewise) was that the matter had been settled. It seems it hasn't at all. That's just what I'm clarifying.
Does this mean that TC has given up on CCFC ? Or doeas it mean that he has given up "firefighting" ? bearing in mind what hapened Ollie Byrne RIP it must be a constant worry for owners in this predictament. I know there will be little sympathy for TC on this forum (nor should there be) but would not like to be in his place on this one.
Incidentally, while I would totally support the Cork players right to strike given their treatment, I'd hate to see the chosen game affecting the destination of the league title.
No agreement. Nobody from Cork City bothered turning up.
