The above would make aisling safe as star and kilmallock are playing each other.

It's about time someone mentioned it on here, what is going on down in LDMC is a disgrace with fixtures and matches. totally agree what is posted above this is exactly what happened and he sent fairview out to Shannon instead Tuesday, also heard from fairview committee member at the weekend that they were looking for fixtures all along as fairview have played 4 league games in 9 weeks but they were told no way would they be allowed get ahead of Pike too far as it wouldn't be fair and somehow after tonight Pike will be ahead of fairview in gamesa absolutely crazy, corbally the same played 2 games in 6 weeks and all this is been done to suit Pike Rovers as they have all the power down there so i dont know what can be done about it.
Pike picking and choosing games and i was also told that fairview had to play a match the tuesday night before FAI final last year 4 days before the final, no way would LDMC call it off, they went out with B Team against Corbally and lost the 2-1. i bet that won't happen this year.
The reason fairview had 4 games in 9wks is the early exit from all cup competitions if fairview played every week in the league there last league game would have been over two months ago, after sundays game pike will have played 5 matches in 11 days i think people cant complain about that and last Tuesday pike were short colm carroll, Alan Barry, Dave o grady, Dermot Phelan, pat mullins etc, Kalyani Pike are down for a fixture Thursday after the FAI final it is easy to say favours are been done for pike now that your looking up the table instead of down.
Fairview were sent out to Shannon town because they had to play them, pike played the boro because they had to play them, the paranoia on here is unreal, pike didn't have to play 2 matches this week but they did,as I posted already it's not pikes fault that clubs have players suspended or injured or whatever, lads will ye cop yereselves on,
have to agree with you boy wonder...but the council do a great job in giving people a stick to beat them with... i have no doubt that Pike do not dictate the fixtures.. it was not Pikes fault that The boro had 3 players suspended nor that Fairview had to play a team, that had nothing but pride too play for. One way too proceed would be too have a winter break for team not in the national cups.. no free weekends when the oscar traynor are playing and saturday- wednesday matches at the start and end of the season.
Corbally are 2-1 up against Pike... 20 gone
Pike are 3 2 up
They should have played a five a side the pitch is so small.
Not been on this for a while just looking over the comments from this game which i watched the other day.
Elton John your glasses must have been fogged, The star lads give a great performance although AA looked better in the first half, Star really had the bit between there teeth, This game had everything goals, yellow cards and a red card good fought contest but some of the comments about the ref and Star players are totally over the top "Elton John" and "eduardo" to name a few what they seem to forget is that one of there players the bloke who got a red card threatened a Star player obviously when the player was not looking in fact he was not even in shouting distance. All that hand bags a side it was a passionate performance and a point gained for Star in their fight for survival.
sure isnt everything that goes wrong with all the teams in this league pikes fault, honestly some of the stuff wrote on this is laughable
a great game of football with a large crowd in attendance.
a harsh red card if you ask me.constant fouling my eye. the pike lads were well able to leave the boot in but were rolling around the ground every 5 mins if they were touched.pat moloney should get an oscar the amount of time he spends on the ground and hes well able to leave the boot in also.the amount of whinging and crying that went on by pike leaves alot to be desired.corbally tried very hard tonight and were very unlucky not to get a draw.thought the 2 corbally forwards caused havoc for pikes central defence in the first half but they seemed to tire towards the end.as regards tyo the pitch is wasnt the biggest but at least it had a nice lick of grass unlike there top field
i agree with you hear ballboy.corbally in fairness to them battled for the 90mins and were in it right until the end where they were very unlucky to concede a 4th with only afew mins left.thought pikes penalty was very dubious.the ball defo hit the right fulls hand but it was hit so hard he had no time at all to even attempt to move it.im sure pike will be happy with the tough game they got tonight especially with the few weeks ahead that they have.in fairness to pike there second goal was class.a brilliant delivery by the winger and a super volleyed finish.
what did sherlock do for the sending off lads,, sounds as if it was a good game, and who was the ref,, pike 6 points clear now,, another league trophy for them

corbally 2-4 pike. corbally went 1 up after 5 mins throgh ken neylon after excellent work by ben savage and ian o donoghue.pike equalised after 10mins through a conor kavanagh penalty after a handball from a cross which was in no way intentional.corbally retook the lead on 20mins through a ken neylon overhead kick from 6 yards after a great flick on by ben savage.corbally were on top at this stage but pike equalised on 30mins thru an excellent finish from john tierney and took the lead 2 mins later when tierney buried a moloney pull back from 12 yards.we battled hard for the remaining 55mins and were very disapointed not to get a draw especially after twice leading the game.onto regional on sunday for what is a huge game for us at home.best of luck to pike in there remaining fixtures and there f.a.i final in afew weeks
lads alot of comments about the state of corballys field tonight.it wasnt that bad now in fairness.our top field isnt in great nick but thats to be expected with the amount of schoolboy games on it every week.both the wings were in good nick tonight and the rest of the field wasnt bad.prob the best ive seen it in a while .it was narrow but no worse than bateman park or aislings bottom pitch.the pitch was grand
sherlock deserved to go on a yellow and kept conceding free kicks.kavanagh and tierney 2 best players for pike. pike must be worried about the amount of goals there conceding and the form of there keeper who was poor tonight.must say the big lad upfront for corbaly had a fine game and gave enright a hard time.the pitch was way too narrow
lads its very tight at bottom who do yee think will survive.
Star I think,reckon mungret will go down.it's between the 2 I'd say,
pikes last 4 league games are away from home ,but do you hear anyone from pike whinging about it ,no ,and the reason being is that when it comes to the winter pike will always be at home because their field will always be playable, pike went a month without a league game not long ago but they didnt complain about it
both teams had to play on it ballboy.it was alot better than afew of the pitches we have played on of late.i do admit it was narrow but compared to the other pitch was in alot better condition.with about 40 schoolboy teams playing there we cant expect to have a surface like boro, pike etc.maybe the club will have to look at going the aisling route.the only longterm solution to a problem which wont go away over the coming seasons
Someone made a point that the view had to play a game the week of the fai, pike played 2 games the week before it,and they didn't put a b team either,as a matter of fact they didn't play any b players, they are also playing tomorrow,so that comment doesn't make much sense
Extra Extra Read All About It - "Pike Can't Buy League Anymore"
As of next season a new rule is coming in that restricts teams to having no more than 4 ex - LOI players on the field at any one time.
That rule is around ages and Pike are still winning so you comment doesn't make any sense!
Lads, I know a lot has been said about refereeing performances of late but , just like the Premier League table, I've devised a list of the top 20 ref's over the last couple of years, based on their game - by game performances.Again, this is just my opinion.
