was at the QPR -v- West Brom game very impressed with Damien Delaney .Big, Strong , good tackler and very good going forward definitely an option at full back. Was talking to him at the Player of the year dinner sound bloke doesnt think he will get a look in if Don Givens has a say in it.Martin Rowlands won both the Players and Supporters Player of the year awards.
Shane McFaul released by Brighton.

Paul Heffernan got himself sent off from the 1st leg of the League 1 playoff final with one of the stupidest moves I've ever seen. He's out for the 2nd leg now as well
Ian Harte linked with Ipswich.

Irish Abroad for Sunday, 11 May 2008: http://www.chatsoccer.net/irishabroa...ate=2008-05-11
Kevin Doyle scored his sixth of the season, and his first since 8 December 2007
Damien Duff started his first game since 8 March 2008
Richard Dunne was sent off for the second time this season
Stephen Gleeson scored his first of the season
Cillian Sheridan made his first appearance of the season
I'll be compiling the season stats over the next few weeks, if there's anything you'd like to see, let me know
Thanks for the service this season tets.First thing I look for on the web every Monday.
Overall I have to say its been a pretty disapointing season for Irish players abroad.Kevin Doyle losing his scoring touch.Darren O Deas non breakthrough at Celtic after great progress previous season.Terry Dixons alleged retirement due to injury,Paul McShane etc etc.
Highlights-Stephen Irelands early season form but we all know his situation. In fairness Robbie and McGeady have had good seasons with their clubs.Stephen Reids successful return from injury could be crucial.Andy Reid maybe worth a mention.Transfer window could be interesting regarding the likes of Doyle and Garvan.
Yes. Thank you Tets.
Also agree a very dismal season for us, worst in years. Terribly poor form, as you say apart from Keane, McGeady & I'd add Dunne. And Lawrence - but he can't seem to get himself noticed, so that's no use at all.
No exciting breakthroughs either (Scannel's green shoots aside).
Retirements etc.
I've just seen Gleeson's goal in the League 2 playoff semi-final, it was a tremendous strike. Maybe the keeper should have done a little better
Yeovil Town have agreed a deal with Everton to sign Irish youngster Aidan Downes.
Boss Russell Slade has been impressed by the 19-year old and told BBC Somerset:
"I have agreed a deal in effect with Everton - he is on a free but there is a sell-on clause
According to BBC Sport, Jim Magilton is to let Billy Clarke leave this summer because he can't guarantee him first team football. What happened to this guy? 18 months ago Liverpool were linked to a £2 Million move for him.
Caleb Folan scored for Hull against Watford in the playoff final, his goal ensured they'd be going to Wembley. He's been Hull's supersub this season
Lads what about that Doyle lad that scored for Hull also >??
