Any report on the Glin V Askeaton game, sounded like a cracker, any players missing from both sides?
I know young Fitz is injured (wish him a speedy recovery), did willy griffin play?

Lads any report on the Shannonside Granagh game. Can not believe that it went to penalties. Shannonside must have been mising a few key players.
13 ?? Thats very bad alright. You would think young fella's would be proud to say they're on the Desmond league panel. If they turn it down once they should never be asked again. That goes for the junior team too. Plenty of players out there that would be delighted to be even asked.Quote:

i think rathkeale got kilcolman that is the only other fixture i heard aswel as the above mentioned!
ya the glin and askeaton game could have ended 5-5 alot of chances for both sides. Glin were missing 4 from what i can think of!im sure askeaton were missing a few aswell!

Glin v Askeaton last Sun. Glin short their Tarbert guys Askeaton short Foley, Fitzgibbon and Griffin. Glin took lead on 10mins Askeaton equalised after 30 and lead 5 from h/t, went 3-1 up after 70. Glin pulled 1 back on 80 and equalised 4 mins into stoppage time . Both keepers had days to forget being at fault for 2 apiece. Askeaton played some lovely stuff but looked shaky at the back from set pieces. Glin on the otherhand were very dogged and never laid down and got the draw rather fortunately at the end. Both sides had other good chances during the game. Good to see Maurice Carrig coming off the bench for Askeaton. He looked a bit rusty but with a few games he,ll be a great addition for the remainder of the season. The pitch looked to be in good nick and I thought the game was enjoyable. Can't see Glin beating Shannonside this Sun. without their Tarbert contingent.

Actually what is the story with division 1 ? Killeaney will have 5 games in hand on Adare and Old Mill and 4 on Kildimo after Sunday as they are not playing for some reason. And they more than likely have a cup replay the following week. Surely thats an awful advantage to be playing teams late on with nothing to play for and only fielding half teams that aren't training ??
