surely Green and Westwood are the only players in that list from ifk that Trappatoni can lay claim to having "discovered"? The others had already been called up and declared.

Didn't even discover Green. It was Green that contacted the FAI.

You may well be right but I thought it was big Mick McCarthy that suggested that he try his option of playing for Ireland.. I may have it wrong though. I would actually be happier if he had declared an interest earlier. He is good player and if he had an extra yard of pace would be a real quality player.
It's hardly Trapattoni's fault if players don't want to declare for Ireland?
Clarke is missing from that list too.
Well I know for a fact that there are certain members of the FAI that are actively seeking out players who qualify for Ireland. They have followed up possible qualifiers, who were first mentioned here.
I think Noble's agent may have stalled his chances.
Darren Ambrose (Crystal Palace) is looking into getting the necessary paperwork.

Thought he was older than 26, but he would bring more nous and vision to the team than Paul Green. In fact just as I type this, it just occured to me, that these qualities may hinder his opportunities under Trap. Interesting comments too in the article in relation to Mark Noble possibly joining us, but I really can't ever see that happening.
It's mentioned at the end of this article too.

I see Shane Ferguson hasn't been included in the NI squad. Wonder why?
Just pass remarking lads. It is strange though, considering some of the players that were called up.
